was playing around with my two 10" ICONS today.....

I'm knee deep in MDF dust at the moment...LOL I got almost 2 weeks behind with the Kidney Stone thing and I'm trying like a MOFO to catch up before Christmas takes over I'll have my MSN messenger on later tonight.......

I you don't mind the shipping I can build it why the dual port though? a single larger port will have less surface drag and have less displacement/weight

anyone have any hands on experience with the Soundstream HR crypt 4 amplifier???? need some good power for my 2 sets of JBL 660gti components and want clean power with no background noise..my JBL GTO 75.4ll sux nuts for background hiss is the HR crypt 4 worth the money??

I got the Icons on a Crown A3000gti.... I don't have the birth sheet for it but the thing has ALOT of head room

I need enough midbass to keep up with the 1140w rms on the components and the 3200w rms+ on the subs

I can't wait to get some numbers with the 4 Icons..... always wanted to hit the 150db club in the 20hz range or at least get close to it

bracing can help alot if placed properly..... any kind of screen door or window bracing that creates any turbulance towards or away from the port and woofer will show a drop in SPL with a Termlab it makes the biggest difference with low tuned enclosures..the low slow notes are the ones that can really flex the enclosure

this one is a bare bones no flares no paint......nothing except some bondo and sanded smooth

unfortunately I was borne with Medullary Sponge Kidney a side effect is mass amounts of kidney stones

I know a 12" would sound good sealed but I would take the ported 10" over it tuning at 31hz sounds deep , drops plenty with the lows and have a nice over all flat response

I don't drink beer anymore.....and from what I remember I still got the stones when I did I have tried alot of different things...the Lemon and Olive Oil works the best IMO
