That sucks for us all. A higher power doesn't want your build to come through. We will make sure Trevor gets his, don't worry about that. He was one of the first and has been along the Xcon ride the whole time. And besides, he believes in higher power amplifiers anyway. it's not an amp...it's a 500 ampere eating flux capacitor might be able to time travel when the Xcons hit 88hz....................LOL

What do you consider loud for daily play?
Thumpper replied to phresh's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
my last system would hold 143db+ @ 10hz and peak at 147hz..it was MORE than loud enough but it didn't quite make my vision blurry enough on the lows to crash my car so it's being upgraded -
not worried....they will get here I'll have the door pods started soon

my tracking number is broken

anything past 145db is brain dead for daily driving........ my next install will be over 150db for daily.... -
the right enclosure will have a good balance of F3 and port velocity with no interior restrictions that can get in the way of airflow (for example widow/screen door bracing can KILL the performance of an enclosure) even though it looks cool during the build the more dense the material used the better also...gives an enclosure better deadness and reduces acoustical ringing

I don't have enough time for the step by step pics so I'll throw in what I can.... the rats nest.......a Compustar 2 way all connections silver soldiered and heat shrinked...""""NO CRIMP CONNECTORS"""" all wiring harnesses are cut to length and loomed except fot the obne needed for the Microwave Sensor..it will be done when the encllsure and amp rack are installed deck installed (Premier 980BT) the alarm LED is under the cig lighter....
-
I did install the deck and Shampoo the interior..I'll be stripping the Compustar out of the tempo today and get it installed into the Windstar once the alarm is installed I'll start on the door pods still waiting for the subs so I can design the baffle........... I'm buisy as hell but I'll try and get some pics up soon

ya so the two stereo shops in town are having a pissing war over who is the authorized JBL Dealer and I got stuck in the middle somehow so I found matching JBL GTO 75.4ll on E-Bay for a rediculously low price that still keeps me at 290w rms X 4 on the components.... just waiting for this -20c cold snap to go away and I'll start the pods

What's up with Soundstream?? so anyways.....I ordered a Soundstream Human Rein Unleashed 4...found out it is not being released to Canada this year...so I ordered the Reference series 4 channel (160w rms X 4) and I am told I have to wait 3 months for this unit before it is released (Take in mind these products are now on the Soundstream product line on the web site) so I tell my dealer to get me one of last years Human Rein Crypt 4 amps...once again not available in Canada I could have ordered from the US and gotten raped on the exchange/shipping and would not have the warranty service of a local dealer I got so frustrated with the whole thing I ended up with two JBL 1004 amps...these will be each bridged as two channel ...the components will be receiving just over 300w rms X 4 just over 1200w rms on the components that should keep up to the four 15's
