EXILE is designed and owned by the origional Pheonix Gold guys..... I tried this amp out on my four Xcon 15's and I was shocked on how hard and clean it pounded them.....nice stuff -
you need to build a simple sealed box and do several sweeps with it facing in different directions... you will get different readings....just average it out and go with the one in the middle...you will be close
-
Kevin Tabaison at Pinnacle Marketing (Canadian Orion Distributor) sent me a little toy to play with....... first impressions when I pulled the thing out of the box....WTF!!!!! LMAO

it sounds like the spider is damaged where it meets the former.....sometimes the damage can be hard to see I'd inspect it with the cone fully exerted and see if it opens up or lets loose anywhere
-
the number one reason for a fuel pump burning out is running the tank low on fuel (in tank pumps are cooled by the fuel) the number two reason is a plugged fuel filter..... definately not from the bass...if that were the case I would need replacement of my fuel pump daily.....LOL
-
the Icons don't need a full 1000w rms to turn on..I have installed them with only 500w rms each and they do really well I would much rather put the Icons on that amp...the bass will drop better and you will have less chance of damaging the suspension from over pushing the mechanics of the woofer....

my hearing is really good when the sound source is 145db and up

Questions about getting an enclosure built
Thumpper replied to maintrain's topic in Pound That Sound
contact me via e mail...I need more info on what subs and vehicle [email protected] -
I remember a time when I though one 15" was insane LOL..... my four 15" Xcons almost knock my head off my shoulders
-
personally I would go Icon for the low stuff...... you do not want a peaky sub for playing the rock bottom lows..this will bring on over excursion problems don't build the enclosure to large either or you will have problems with bottoming out and over exerting
-
the tuning would be a little off with the BTL but it will work the same.....
-
for a single 12" Xcon 2.25cf3 tuned at 33hz
-
-
for a pair of Kicker 12" L7's...3.50cf3 plus displacements tuned at 35hz
-
I have heard almost 170db at about 60hz but it wasn't as intense as some of those low tuned systems ..they can be felt ALOT more ..my current system completely blurrs vision at 150db
