Hmm oh yeah I just read the back of the bill. Explains each charge. I figured I knew what they all meant, like fuel is the coal, not gas to deliver the electricity to my house obviously, but I felt like a rant.
-
Man this electricity bill is shit. I'm not complaining about the overall price, it is only $28.22. But the fact that I only used $9.71 worth of electricity is the stupid part. Then I have a customer charge, fuel charge (wtf? Are they driving my electricity to my house?), transmission charge, environmental charge, franchise fee, and an oh-what-the-heck "service charge." Plus sales tax obviously.

You don't want to see me when I'm angry!

Or you can upload them on this site in your own member gallery.

Obviously that's up to you, if you think you'll ever want a second sub. As for wiring two subs, you can just put both of their speaker wires into the same terminals on the amp.
-
Yep. Strapped at 2 ohms your amps should put out 5000 watts, and at 4 ohms 2500 watts. So 3 ohms should really be about 3750, or 1250 watts per sub. That's actually pretty perfect for those subs if you get the cooling option.
-
Hmm, dual motors? I guess that would have more of a functional affect than Memphis' 3-basket sub.

In the wrong hands, yes it's too much power. In a person smart enough with the volume knob, that amount of power will yield no problems. This wiring is tricky. The wiring configurations that you can get that are anywhere near most amp's stability range is 1.33, 1.5, or 3 ohms. If you can find an amp that puts out 5000 watts at 1 ohm, I'd go for the wiring configurations that give you 1.33 or 1.5 ohms. Or if you can strap those RF amps for 5000 @ 2 ohms, you could do the 3 ohm configuration for maximum durability of the amp. You may only get about 3500 watts out of it, but that's still over 1k per sub, and with three 15s, it'll be plenty loud.
-
Not necessarily. A 100 watt amplifier in full clip will never blow a 1000 watt subwoofer. To the OP, enough power for what? To drive them to potential? Yes. To blow them? Also yes.

Turning the gain down from its actual match to your signal voltage will reduce power output.

Watch out for the swine flu. KU has 30 cases of it in the dorms during this last, first week they have been open. They've began segregating the sick ones. Not that I think swine flu is as terrible as people say, but who wants to be quarantined?

You could probably flip a coin between those two, but I'd rather go with the Soundstream.

Have you checked the owners manual

And top. OK I can go to sleep now.

Wow, I lead the ratings. Wasn't really expecting that. You like me, you really really like me! *In comes flood of negative rates* Ha. Glad the new "new content" button includes threads I've posted in.

I'm almost at 4k. ha. And I even signed up before you. But I was pretty inactive for the first 3-4 years.

Going out of town tomorrow for work for a couple days. Driving 6-7 hours each way stinks. At least I get paid for it though. I need to go to bed. Definitely didn't get enough sleep this weekend and I was tired most of today. Now I'm late getting to bed again. Dammit man.

Nice work. I didn't notice it was getting close at all. Failz.

Just did that to me too, only it happened the second time I opened the thread. Must be the link from that other thread. But nice work.
