Well all I have is paint so this is all I could do. Red dots are measured port length.

I suppose I should clean today. I hate cleaning. I need a wife for that.

haha wub. ok I'll have to remember that.

KU's game was somewhat boring today. Their offense was mediocre and defense was pretty good (held UTEP to only 4 yards rushing). But it was just UTEP. The box score says KU had 576 yards of offense, but it sure didn't seem like it during the game. Plus I think they went into the game with only one run in the playbook, that being the shotgun draw. I would bet all of my money that they ran it on at least 80% of their running plays, and 95% of them in the second half. I know they went two whole drives down the field with that as the only running play, over and over and over. Yawn.

Cobras never came with Autos. It's either a Mach 1, a fake snake, or has has the trans replaced in favor of the auto. I was thinking the same thing. If they used to not even put radios and air conditioning in them to keep performance maximized/all true car, there's no way they'd put an auto in there.

I clicked a few 's for you. Hey thanks (insert the hearts emoticon which I don't know the code to)! I was wondering if there was any way we could see who did it. I mean I suppose it's usually the thread starter, but who knows, somebody may have a man crush and bid up the points for little actual reason.

Also have to watch some sealants, as some shrink over time and reveal the hole again.

Well you can't have the port 14" long because of the width of the wood of the box. Since the box is only 16" deep outer dimensions, the first port wood piece can only be 12.5" long (since the opening of the front baffle counts as port length). However the length of the port along the first length would be 14.25: .75" for the front baffle which counts as port since that has the opening, the 12.5" long board, and 1" into the corner since you measure down the middle of the port to get port length. Then you can turn it 90* and run it along the back wall for the rest of the 15.75". But your port piece for that section would only need to be 14" long after you subtract another 1" for the corner since you're measuring down the middle, and .75" for the width of the first port board, which you'd but this one up against.

Which Sundown amp can power 2 JL Audio 10w7 sealed?
KU40 replied to cichlid_baby's topic in Sundown Audio
Speakers do not have power requirements. They simply get louder with more power, up to a point. In this case it's 750 watts. -
You are jus using one of the coils with in return is hurting the sub. Running it like that is like having a single voice coil sub which would show the amp a 2 ohm load. Actually it does not hurt the sub to run only one coil. But it only has half of the power handling that the sub was rated for because it's rated for use of both coils.

Use of the post +/- really picked up this week. hmm.

If you wanted it that exact size you should have said so in the beginning instead of saying max dimensions. make the same port openings but 30" long. The net size will be about 4.7 cubes and you'll be tuned to 32 hz. If you put a little bracing in there you'll cut down box size and raise the tune a tad but will still be within your 30-35 hz range.
-
Why did you buy a solo-x for daily use?
-
Well you will have to make the box 17" wide in order for the sub to fit on the top face. For a 4 cube box @ 33 hz, try 46" long x 17" wide x 16" tall. Outer dimensions. The ports on each side will be 15.5" x 2" at the opening, and 33.5" long.

don't mind me, just taking this top.

Got asked to play on a rec kickball team tonight as a substitute from some people at work. I get to throw balls at people! And it's coed so balls at girls. They say it's illegal to hit above the neck, so I guess I'll save that for after the game.

Gotta wonder how hard the teacher laughed at that one.

Sucks that Seymour got traded to that hell hole. He'll probably be asking for a trade before the season is over. Also, they got rid of Garcia BECAUSE he could compete with Russell, if not win the job. He just wanted to stick with russell (for who knows what reason, he's not a franchise qb) and not have a controversy and a disgruntled Garcia. Davis wants to be the only disgruntled person on the team!

Man it's tough when the office girl comes in to ask me a question and stands 1.5' away from me as I'm sitting at my desk. Her midsection is right at eye level. I love it and hate it at the same time.

I remember walking into my english class first thing that morning and they had the tv on live coverage. 5 seconds after I got there I watched the second plane hit. I remember seeing the plane a bit in the distance and wondering what it was doing as it came closer, then it all of a sudden dawned on me what I was about to see. I'll never forget that.

I guess we won't be seeing you post for the rest of the weekend

I'm having two sandwiches for lunch right now. I usually do.

Got any hot tips? I got some that are climbing (but not enough) and some that are in neutural Ya mine to my brother in law was just buy when the DOW was at like 6600. Did he? No. Is he pissed? Yes. Yeah, wish I had. But I put my initial money in back in January and didn't have any to spare in March. Could have easily quadrupled. darn. Probably the best buying opportunity of our lifetimes. As for tips, well, I'm nervous about doing that. But I'll tell you what I look for. P/E less than 15, PEG less than 1 is nice, revenue that is climbing in the last quarter and comparing to old revenue before the crash, then comparing stock price today to that of 2006 or before. I say older than that because I think prices in 2007-2008 were inflated in many cases. Also look for increasing projected earnings. Finally, for a short-term shot in the arm, I like to see recent stock prices that are near the lower bollinger band. If they're below the lower bollinger band that's even better, provided the company is in good shape and the price isn't going down for a really good long-term reason.

And you're just realizing this now? It's been going on for 15+ years.
