The wave out of the sub in back and the wave out of the port in front won't be in phase because the one in front just has to move into the cabin, whereas the wave from the sub has to go back into the trunk, bounce off something, then go back forward into the cabin. It most likely won't cause cancellation because subbass frequencies have too long of a wave length, but the waves just won't reinforce each other quite as well.

The rear end reminds me a bit of a Hyundai. Not something I'd want out of a vehicle like that.

Yep, I've got it open in four windows otherwise no way in hell I'd type anything. really? it's not to bad at all right now Yeah, it was better this morning than it has been in a long time.

Well that space is only about 2 cubes before any displacements. You cannot do three 10s ported in that space. You probably couldn't even do two 10s ported, maybe one twelve ported would work. So your choice is pretty much sealed unless you'd consider lowering the number of subs. They'll need to be pretty shallow, probably only a 4.5" mounting depth.

Saw there were places in northern Minnesota that were around -20 today. So it was probably like -30 in Canada. That is absurd. I've never even felt -10 before I don't think.

Sundown Amp Settings
KU40 replied to on1wheel06's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If you don't have specific questions and want to know what all the dials do, then you need to do some research first. Then come back with questions if you have them afterwards. -
There can't be clipping with the volume completely off. Are you hearing noise with the volume all the way down? That's signal interference from other electronics and things in the car.

Dude, 6 year old thread.

0*, wind chill -13*. Shit.

Sundown Amp Settings

Almost everything on there depends on your install and how your speakers respond. If you have specific questions, I'd ask those. -
Help building an optimal sealed enclosure for a 12" sub.
KU40 replied to nexttothemoon's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Well since you used winISD you should have seen a lot of the differences in the different boxes. You should have seen the difference in frequency response between a large and small box, that being the larger box has more low frequency extension. Larger boxes are also more efficient, but power handling is reduced. You really won't hear a difference between the 1.1 cube box winISD recommends and the 1.25 cube box pioneer recommends as optimal. You don't have to use the exact box dimensions it gives if that shape isn't optimal for your location. -
Ryan2, how much snow did you get? I think we got about 3", right on the upper end of their forecasts.

You have a Ford, I have a Chevy. I expect that mine will break. Can't believe I ever bought the damn thing. Of course if the 97-04 F150's weren't so damn fugly I wouldn't have bought the Silvershitbox I don't remember if I posted this or not, but over Xmas was talking to my dad, and he wants to get a medium-duty truck for my granddad for a feeding pickup at the farm. I asked him about the Ford, and he was like no way does he want a Ford, and I wouldn't want one for him either. They fall apart too easily. I was completely flabbergasted because my dad and granddad have been huge Ford fans their whole lives, probably the main reason I'm such a fan. My dad said he wants to get more Chevys for his work too. I was like what what what?

Take the sub out and check for problems, especially loose connections around the terminals or broken tinsels. And put a DMM to the coils as well to check resistance.

Why is the title of this thread asking about wiring the sub but in the body it's about lead time? Either ask about wiring in the post, or change your title to something about what you're actually asking.

There is no effective difference between slot and round ports. They don't give any distinct sound or help it in different ways. What kind of box shape were you thinking about? For the most part, no, it doesn't have any affect. 4 cubes at 29 hz sounds good. And no problem with the height only being 16". I think the mounting diameter is just within the inside height of the enclosure.

soundstream Dtower?
KU40 replied to SynCity's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You can lay it down. It says so in the owner's manual. It's no different than any other amp. Soundstream's quality the last few years has gone downhill so this probably won't do rated power. -
You can't do anything. You have to have the subsonic just below the tuning frequency. But I guess you could like it, I don't know. Only one way to find out.

WTF is with people quoting posts that have like 40 pictures in it? yes, let's just double the load time of the page and make the scroll bar the size of a pinhead on the side of the page. We know what post you're talking about, it's the only one with all the pictures.

So you like the meaty girls, eh? I do. Skinny doesn't do much for me. I don't like fat, but I love a nice round juicy ass and some big muscular thighs. Volleyball players come to mind. You might love my gf then. But you can't have her

What users' views? -
LPF has nothing to do with it. But my point is that if you have to turn your subsonic up to 32 hz to protect your sub, you're going to miss out on a lot of the bass track tones below that.

So you like the meaty girls, eh? Alba > Fox That's just me. I agree. Not much beats Alba.
