they use precision lasers to skim across the vehicle surface and vaporize the dirt off. I would actually guesstimate that it's just another word for powerwashing or something, to make it sound more powerful and better to get dirt off. one of those marketing things.

oh yeah, and then you can build or buy some little like 3' stands to set them on. Maybe one just to the right of your bathroom door there and the other just to the left of the tv.

I'm doing pretty darn well. Feel good. Which is in stark contrast to the bad mood I was in last night. I find that happens a lot, things seem to even themselves out. My 16 year old sister and her 3 friends stayed at my house last night. They got up this morning, ate my cereal and bagels, then left without saying anything to me the whole morning. punks.

I'd just build some MT speakers. Maybe just a simple 6.5" and tweeter like Jim suggested. I really like the Dayton References, which can be had on Partsexpress for I think 35-40. Or upper level Vifa's, but I don't know if they sell them on PE anymore (I have Vifa MG's and a peerless soft dome tweet in my surrounds and I love them. I like the tweet better than the Dayton classics I have on my fronts. Wish I'da spent the extra few bucks and upgraded). Then just get a basic receiver with enough inputs to handle your TV, PC, dvd player, VHS, beta player, atari, ps3, whatever. You could probably find a 2 channel on ebay or at a used electronics store or something for 100, and spend only about 200 on the whole deal.

except for those of us with signatures turned off

so.....I'm playing basketball today. and a dude drives the lane, where I'm playing defense. I go up to defend the shot and he shoves his non-shooting elbow into my face. I fall to the ground with a huge lump on my lip, feeling my front two teeth to make sure they're still there because they're totally numb and I come back out with two fingers covered in blood. and he CALLS A FOUL ON ME. I didn't even touch him. You ram your non-shooting elbow into my face and it's a foul on ME? "It doesn't matter what part of the body fouls me." YOU rammed YOUR elbow into MY face. He's lucky I had a headache and am not a vengeful person because I certainly could have thrown all 5'6" 120 lbs of him across the entire pucking gym and into the opposite wall with enough force to break all his vertebrae. now I probably can't even do it with my gf when she comes over tomorrow because my lip could touch her from 5 feet away.

Wet cell vs. Dry cell
KU40 replied to blue86f150's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
but with a wet cell you don't have to use lube, you know? you know what I'm saying? *wink wink* oh, oops. this isn't off topic. i'm dirty. -
It's the same way here at KU. If you get under 2.0 for a semester you're on probation, under 2.0 for two in a row get kicked out. But still, even if you get all C's and get a 2.0, that would be better than whatever your cumulative is since it's below 2.0, right? So that's improvement. Should count to me anyways.

If somebody can somehow answer this you'll have ended a search of over a year for me (off and on, mostly off though). It's on a video I have of some kids c-walking but the audio isn't very good, the speakers were too loud for the camera to pick up very well and it's distorted. Like in most of their songs, Daz and Kurupt say their names in the song, which is how I know it's them. The music is very upbeat and kinda fast, which is a little out of character for these two. Pieces of the lyrics: "Daz Dillinger, the number one ? North cal gangsta, the one that's in the ?" "we be giving it up, whippin to flippin you up, what Kurupt and playa rep we be giving it up." "riding shotgun, I'm the shotgun, back door and out the window ready to pop one" the chorus sounds something like "rock your body" but it's all muffled. I know it's a far out question. but maybe i'll get lucky.

well youtube says it failed to convert video file. It's just an .avi though so I don't know what its problem is.
-
boy, you'd think I would have thought of that? haha. apparently not. It's "processing" on youtube right now. I'll get the link in a bit.

Yeah I was just wondering, not sure if Nick picked up on that when he answered you. It would require shipping you a new basket as well and you'll have to swap that out too. So just a bit more work than just gluing the soft parts in place. That and I just wanted to make sure because I didn't know if the XXX has any major differences between the 10 and 15.

is yours not a 10" sub now?
-
sometimes there's a bit of a tapping sound, sometimes it starts sounding flat, it usually stops getting louder. you can also watch the excursion. when it stops increasing, that's as much as it'll go. But if you sit in front of the sub and start turning up the gain you'll be able to tell the difference in sound when it starts distorting.

those efficiency ratings are kinda worthless. Usually they're only at one frequency, like 1000 hz.
-
does your exhaust run down that side? it could be loose somewhere and the amount/speed of air flowing through at that specific rpm gets it to juggle. also, does it do it at all gears at that rpm? if it does then it's probably something powertrain-related. if it only does it at highway speed, like 5th gear or something, then it may be speed-related and may be chassis/suspension/etc.

man today is going by sooooo slowly. Maybe it's because I got in at 8 today instead of 8:15-8:30 like usual. that extra few minutes must just do it for me.
-
I think just finding the right speakers is the best thing, instead of starting from impedence. That's kinda backwards IMO. Not only are there far fewer 2 ohm components, but having less power to better sounding speakers is far more important than more power to something you had to choose based on impedence. IMO. Even if you "only" get 75 watts to your fronts that's more than enough to be loud enough. but those are just 6" mids, right? Why do you want a full component set on top of that and not just a tweeter to match?
-
I just do it by ear. Sure my ear isn't quite as precise about getting max power before clipping like an o-scope, but...... Haven't had any problems.
-
yeah may as well try it out first, why not? If you don't like it, just make the port a little longer. it's not hard to do.
-
oh I glanced right over that sentence. um, yeah, don't do that.

I just bought call of duty 3 a few weeks ago when I was in Game stop dickerpucking around for something new. (hehe). but I love it. I've had a couple Medal of Honor games, but COD is better. I might just have to go back through and buy 1 and 2 as well, then go on to 4 once I beat all those and the price is hopefully down by then. I don't play online though. I just like to play with myself. I mean by myself.

John I would have to disagree with your statement of stock speakers not being SQ. Stock setups aren't always that bad, and to prove this point a guy I knew took a VW Beetle and kept the speakers stock but added some EQ power and he got 3rd at USACi finals a few years ago. With that budget I would probably go used. Unless you can get the new D2 like they're talking about, as I'd recommend that as well. But you should be able to get a 600-1000 watt class D on ebay for 200 or so. The Sundown they recommend would work as well, I just don't know much about it. As for subs, you could go on ebay and find some older subs at steals of prices. Things like older JL Audio W3's, Orion XTR pro's, Crossfire BMF's, RE audio SE's, etc. You could probably get 2 of those 12's for 150. Just make sure they're in good shape. Or you could go with a one sub setup and step up to something a little more beefy. Also, if you can build your own box, definitely do that. It'll end up costing you 30 dollars at most. and as they said, I would go sealed as well.

I do that sometimes at mine. But it's usually to help offset my 6 hour days when I just can't stand to be in front of my computer anymore.

Ha, probably not the kind of bike you were thinking. This is of the Fred Flinstone variety. and it's nothing special.
