Not sure I understand, if it is a reimbursement then it isn't income but a business expense which you do not pay taxes on. I was thinking the same thing. I get reimbursed at work for travel expenses and I sure as hell am not going to pay taxes on it.

There is water and greenery in texas?!?!

The remote knobs don't turn the volume either up or down?

damn KU fucking sucks. Getting demolished by Iowa State. WTF is going on, I can't even watch this shit.
-
damn I was thinking Tru when I first read this thread like 4 hours ago when only like two people had guessed. I shoulda posted.

Something I did earlier tonight: It's by no means perfect, but it's the first carving I have ever done. It was fun. Except for taking out the insides, that part was kinda gross. It was like pulling out brains or something.
-
yep. I thought about taking the day off and calling in sick, but I'm too much of a straight arrow to do it when I'm not really sick.
-
That's how trains do it. Though they use diesel motors, obviously.

I find that 60-70 is about the average I like.

What size? What kind of sound are you looking for? Are you going passive or active?

thinking about getting an account on etrade. Not sure I'd go for stocks as the market is insane right now, but I might toss in some soon to try it out. Thoughts? They have a savings account with 3.3% interest and you can instantly transfer from there to a brokerage account. That's like having a CD but without the set time frame. Sweet.

Voltage Drop - is this good?

What size is your alternator? That's the real question that should be asked. If it's 300 amps, then no I wouldn't expect a drop at all. If it's 60 amps, then yeah that's weird at idle. -
I like it. Though the windows could be a little taller.

that's true. double the cone area is a 3 db increase. But since you're roughly halving the double, as rushrun calculated (44% increase), you may get 1.5 db increase. but that's if you keep the same power. If you double cone area and double power it should be 6 db (in rushrun's example).
-
oh, nope. definitely not what I was thinking. The cone looks like the Power series that I remember, but the motor and basket are different. JBL must have radically changed the lines in the mid 90's.

It's the age. Most 14 year olds are like that. Almost nobody is secure at that age.

And what do lyrics have to do with subwoofers ? I think he just meant he doesn't want the sub's level to overpower the interior speakers so that he could still hear them.
-
Oh, well I wouldn't know about those then. That's before my time. But JBL was one of the first brands I saw when I got into the game like 8 years ago and I thought the "new" GTIs had that look back then. but maybe not.

damn intestine ache stopped me from getting some last night
-
there is a theoretical 1.5 db increase due to cone area increase and maybe 1 or 2 more due to efficiency increase in the 18s. So maybe about 3 db.

Ah you got the boring job. At least you have a radio. You know it wasn't until like 10 years ago they started putting those into tractors and things. My uncle just got laid off of his custom harvesting job. The boss used to employ a dozen people and leased 5-6 harvesters a year and now he says he's downsizing to just him and his son. No warning, and my uncle isn't sure if he'll get paid for the last month. sucky. Now he's applying at a John Deere dealership.

Hold in too much sound? What do you mean by that? Bandpass boxes are more efficient than ported or sealed, so they will get louder. But the tradeoff is usually a smaller playable frequency range. So it depends on what you mean by hold in sound.

And maybe delete the filter that changes Jim's name? haha.
