Mine should be here tomorrow as well, and it's not going to get installed until Thanksgiving. I hope they don't just leave it at my door because it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow.

I trim off a lot of the fat. I basically just leave the little pieces that my knife can't cut or my fingers can't grab onto. When you smoke it, don't use tin foil. But if you put it into the oven, cover the baking pan with tinfoil and do not open it until it's done.

in this case the two are related, though. The rattle is caused by the trunk lid moving an inch. mass load it and the movement goes away, and hence the rattle as well.

Could get one of the new SI mags, 12". Or Image Dynamics subs, JL Audio W6, or even an Icon.

Having a issue with remote voltage...Possibly?
KU40 replied to Mynameismcgyver's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah definitely a relay. Most head units only support a maximum of 3 amplifiers on the remote lead. Sounds like you have at least two plus xm plus a fan, which I'm sure draws quite a bit of current. -
It was marked this year, thanks for nothing jerkface! hehe

Not to steal the thread, but there has been some discussion here about lower qtc alignments, how about higher qtc? Take, for example, the new SI Mag (ok i give in, I'm getting one), which they recommend 1.0 cube for. This, however, gives a q of .834 and f3 at 48 hz. Going up to 1.5 cubes gives a qtc of .737, but the f3 only drops to 46 hz. so in this situation it seems that the f3 really can't be changed that much, but the system q obviously can fairly easily. What would you guys do? yes I did read your post about building big and going smaller, Sean. I just wanted to understand it more as well. (this can also give you some comparison, buggsson, so maybe/hopefully it wasn't a total invasion )

So apparently my 15 year old brother (half) decided to have a couple friends over on saturday and drink a bunch of Vodka while my dad and stepmom were out of town. By the end of the night there were cops and an ambulance at the house. Apparently my brother was passed out over the toilet (haven't heard if they had to pump his stomach or anything). But for whatever reason the cops didn't press any charges, which if you knew my hometown cops, is veeeerrrrrryyyyyyy lucky. I'd have to chalk it up to my dad knowing all the cops in the town from his work. That really could have screwed up my brother's life because those cops normally don't play around with that type of thing and they hit you with everything possible. Not to mention the charges that could have been brought on my parents since it was at their house. moron. He better have learned and gotten that experiment out of his system.

haha. The movie of that in my head is hilarious.

I thought it would too, but I don't mind it much at all. Wearing nice stuff gives you confidence. Well, it does to me anyways. But I still look forward to casual fridays

why are you considering that Peerless? With power on tap it's going to be wasted, and I don't know if they just don't list the ported size or not, but madisound only lists a sealed size recommendation. So it may not like ported. Icon would be much better. The box wouldn't need to be 3-4 cubes.

try JL's or RF's websites.

are you going to be standing 300 feet away when you listen to it?
-
That makes a lot of sense.

dammit, why does the 2010 Mustang look more like a Camaro than a Mustang? Dammit Ford, you idiots.
-
what kind of sound do you want
-
You match the impedence of the subs to the amplifier. If a sub has two voice coils, there are very few instances where you would want to only use one. Plan on using any and all of the voice coils a sub has.
-
not buying such large rims and low profile tires. Or........a ton of mass loading on the trunk lid. or......turning the subs around so they are facing forwards and sealing the trunk off behind the front baffle.
-
I assume you are going with round ports since you say diameter. Aero or regular? Do you know how long you're going to make them, what tune you're going to use, box size?
-
It all looks great. But I have to question why you obviously spent a lot of time and money on the system then used 5x7 coaxials?
-
just because someone has a 2000 watt amp on one of those doesn't mean they're actually using all 2000 watts.
-
Yeah it's possible. Look for a line output converter (LOC), and you can either use one of the rear speaker inputs if he doesn't use his rear speakers, or just splice it in. That'll get your signal to the amp.
-
it's going to be hard to get any louder with only 5 cubes. You're basically limited to two 15s sealed or two 12s ported. To get louder you'll also most likely have to step up amp power. Maybe try two nightshades and a 3000D. May have to step up your budget.

Also, does anybody know a good beat-em-up style game for PS2 like Final Fight 2 or Streets of Rage 2?
