My friend hooked up my system because I didn't know what the f was going on. He ran my power wire through the door jam with a switch on the power wire. Otherwise it'll always stay on, he says. Three ways are nice, but you really have to implement them properly. With the additional speaker it takes more tuning, but can sound better in the end. The way I see it you have two options to do 3 way. One is to get a whole new 3-way component set that comes with passive crossovers made for it. Or the second is to buy an additional 4" driver and go active. You'd likely have to purchase an external 3-way crossover for this, and a 4 channel amp. You could use your hifonics on the midbasses and the new 4 channel on the mid and highs.

I'd also like to know where you got 26 hz from.

subs usually have an fs between 25 and 40 hz or so, for 10+ inch drivers. From the sound of it, those 7 inchers you have are more meant as a mid/midbass, like in a 2-way component setup.

larger gauge wire has larger current carrying capability. if you use 8 gauge, for example, on your 3000d, it will be trying to suck a bathtub full of water through a straw (metaphorically speaking). Upgrade that straw to 6" piping (1/0 gauge) and it can get the water (electricity) easier.

This is kind of a no brainer question but, would it hurt to use the Ga I have right now? I mean has it been proven bigger gauge more current? yes, it has.

oh, I was confused with the second to last picture. I thought the drivers were mounted on the outside box. But now I see that picture is of the inside box, without the outside box over the top of it yet. Did you read somewhere that putting four of them together like that would work? In my thinking, it wouldn't react the same as just one. But maybe I'm wrong.

I'm trying to picture the airflow, but this design isn't like anything I've seen before. It looks like the back wave can go both up the inside between the two boxes as well as inside the inner box? Where does the back wave exit the enclosure? I just can't see it from the pictures.

that's bs, I would be pissed. I imagine just the threat of going to court will have him settling. 50 hz IS retarded unless it's a strictly SPL competition box/vehicle. you will not like it on regular music every day. stick with 32 or so.

Remember this is without the system hooked up that it was happening as well. well it doesn't much matter if the system was on or not, if the alternator is dead it won't support the basic functions of the car. Take it to autozone, napa, etc. and have them run a test on it, they do it for free.

It does. I save over $100 per month with the price now vs. 3 months ago. It's so awesome seeing totals in the $30s instead of the $60s every week.

Didn't catch any rainbow trout last night . I'm so sad, I have been looking forward to that for MONTHS. had a few bites, but the way they were nibbling it was probably just some bluegill. Maybe they have all been fished out, since they only put 750 pounds of fish in two weeks ago. Might try again tomorrow.
