Interested in the 404. Is the board damaged? Not that I can see. At least there are no big holes like Adrian's . I thought the problem was four diodes so I replaced them, but it still does not work.

you can't wire 2 batteries in series/parallel. it's either series or parallel. Wiring in series sums the voltages, wiring in parallel sums the currents, which is what you want so you'll stay at 12 volts. wiring them in series will give you 24 volts and will fry most of the electricals in your car.

Happy bday. wait, I'm 59 minutes late. Well, I'm still one minute ahead in mountain time!

anybody want a burnt up Crossfire BMF1000D or VR404? I emailed Crossfire about the BMF and they said they'd refurbish it for $150. Wasn't worth it to me, as I have another amp I could use.

Hey thanks. Have to remember and flip the switch to get into mod mode when I come here now.

electrical probems

Like Jon said, go get the code read. it may not have anything to do with your electrical. -
is it a dual 2 ohm sub? If so, you can get a plate amp that'll put out max power at 4 ohms.

ha ha, you silly kids and your school.

this is what was hovering over my house today

They do those jet flyovers at KU games sometimes, and I frickin love those things. So loud, powerful, and fast. It's exhilarating, and plus they can shake the stadium. -
Wiring an amp.
KU40 replied to Juslivin's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
any size fuse will work, just so long as it's not above the fusing John put in his post for the wire size. Then at the other end, you usually don't want to go below the fusing that the amp has on it because you run the possibility of blowing that fuse a lot, which is just annoying. Kind of a general rule is to add up the fusing on the amps you are running and use that size fuse on the power wire, just so long as the fuse size doesn't exceed the wire's current-carrying capability. I have a 100 amp fuse on my 1/0 and have never blown it or had any problems. -
I read a report yesterday that said sugar can be as addictive as cocaine, because high levels of sugar intake release dopamine in the brain, just like cocaine does. Tests on lab rats showed that after giving them lots of sugar for a week or two, they exhibited withdrawal symptoms when they were taken off. They would become depressed, lethargic, etc. I guess that's why we eat junk food when we're sad, it releases dopamine and makes us happier. Or at least supposed to anyways.

Christmas shopping, ughhhh. yeah, I'm kind of a Grinch. I don't really care about gifts.

and even on the day of the "The Day the Earth Stood Still" movie premier! It's a sign!

One of the worst days ever spilled into today, so now I have the worst 2 days ever. I'm so glad that I have tomorrow off, so now at least I have a 3 day break before it continues.

ya the global warming this is a tough issue. one of the guys in my classes is an honors student and he is doing a report on global warming, and he pretty much says its BS had some good points though, cant really remember them very well right now I don't buy it. It's overhyped and overblown so that some people can make money. I really don't buy it since the other month they came out and said some data they had got from Russia that they have never 'checked' before was grossly wrong, who knows what other temp data throughout the years has been off. On top of that considering our sampling is around 100 years and the whole warming thing is rated in the order of magnitude of a degree/hundred years it is a complete fucking joke. There are WAY too many variables that with our small sampling of time that we could determine everything is globally heating up. Yeah, don't even get me started on sampling quality and size and other earth-related processes. I think we've been down this road once before in here.

what was wrong with your planned slot port? Was it going to be really long and skinny, like along the entire bottom of the box?

What, is he a dog that's going to poop everywhere in there? would you want some dude in your house with your sister? My sister is 17 and her last bf was cool. I wouldn't care. If your sister was mature and responsible enough and had enough self esteem it wouldn't be a problem at all. It takes 2 to do any hanky panky, you know. She has to say yes. But some of the time the girls even initiate it, and unfortunately a lot of the rest of the time that she says yes it's because she has low self esteem and thinks he'll leave her if she doesn't do it. So if there's a problem, talk to your sister. If he's that big of a loser and she's still dating him, there's something wrong with her.

Yeah i have always avoided CA.com for reasons like that. But we do our best here

this was the day from hell. I felt so dumb and incompetent at work. Decisions I made were all wrong and forgot things. I just wanted to curl into a ball under my desk and hide and be away from everybody.

but the good thing to come out of it is that I'm acclimated to cold better now. I was walking to my car from work with the temp like 30 degrees tonight and didn't mind it at all. hardly noticed it.

I was working outside 8 hours in that crap yesterday. It would have been fine if not for the wind. That was brutal. My hands were shaking so bad it was hard for the other guy to pour the water into the vials I was holding. And I couldn't wear gloves half the time because of cross-contamination concerns. that sucked! I also put on shorts under my jeans and an extra shirt during lunch. Then had to drive 160 miles in it last night, took 4 hours because everybody was only driving 40. sucked. Oh and I almost got into a wreck with a semi. He was in front of me by about 50 yards and he got into the left turn lane to turn left. Only problem was, apparently his trailer liked the road they were on already more because it didn't want to leave. It just slid out beside him. Didn't jackknife, luckily. I hit the brakes, but of course we're on a bit of ice and the abs is just pulsing my brake pedal like mad so obviously it's not doing so well stopping me. Luckily that stretch of road was 4 lanes, though (It was 2 lanes for the other 99% of the drive), and I was able to get over onto the shoulder to pass his trailer.

Indeed. I've never had a discussion about quarters of an inch before! haha. I never get that in-depth with ports. If winISD recommends something like 17.68" long, I round up to 17.75" or something, maybe even to the half-inch. It's not like you'll ever hear the .04 hz difference in tuning frequency anyways.
