I think the main problem is just that your score was from such a low note. 36 hz is really low for an SPL competition, most guys are in the 50's or 60's. It's more difficult for subs to create higher pressures with lower notes. I can't see your signature because I have them turned off, but I think you should try a higher tune and/or a different box size to try and get your peak frequency up. 145 at 36 hz is really good though, don't kid yourself about that. I'd bet that if you tuned to 45 hz you'd see a 150.

ah damn the weekend is over.

What makes them a bitch? Do they have the bolts instead of lug nuts? The holes seem small, but that's what thin-wall sockets are for .

What size tank do you have? small one, like 6 gallons. The otocinclus only grows to maybe 1.5", and other than that I just have two red tetras that I've had in there for like 8 months. They're also only about 1.5". I just have a small algae problem (have to scrape the glass about every month) because the only place in my townhouse for my tank is in my room and it gets quite a bit of light. Plus I don't have any live plants in there, though a few of those like mini lili pads were in the bag with the oto, so if they multiply then that'll help cut down the nitrogen. But I got the oto because I was bored with the same two fish and thought maybe he'd help my algae. I have some small snails in there, too, but they don't really do anything to it. That is how I started out and worked up to a 300gal reef tank. Couple of years ago I down sized to a 150gal. This was a bad habbit for me for many years. I still have a brand new 400gal sitting empty. wow that's huge. Would be pretty awesome to have a saltwater tank though, especially with living reefs. Just a lot of maintenance I imagine. And I've come to realize that fish are ok pets, great because you don't have to take them outside or watch them all day, but they aren't very interactive, obviously, haha. So it's not too much more than just owning a plant as far as companionship.

That kind of a tear gets there from being played and moving. So whether it started with the "rubbed" part or whatever when you first opened the box, or if it happened after you installed it, that's the cause. So I suggest not being defensive when asked questions about how it started and if the scratch it had when you got it caused it. It appears that the "big scratch" is at the end of the crease, right? If so, that's where it started from and it just promulgated out from there, around the sub.

I'd actually go with a dual 2 so that you can wire in parallel for a 1 ohm load. There are a lot more options for a Class D 1000 watt at 1 ohm amp than at 2 ohms. Plus if you chose a class A/B amp, most of those are 2 channel amps that are stable at 4 ohms bridged, which is what you'd get wiring a dual 2 sub in series. So you would win with either amp class you wanted, generally. Edit: Ah, you beat me.

I guess I've never heard of a blowthrough in a car.

Actually, if you had shorts on the power and ground wire on the amp, it may have been pulling a lot of juice from your electrical system. Fuses don't pop right away, a lot of them need high current for a few seconds. What size is the fuse under the hood, and did it pop?

Those red interiors aren't my favorite.

I got a new fish yesterday, an otocinclus, a dwarf algae-eating catfish. He was free from my friend who works at the pet store because of the 50 or so they got in a few days ago, only about 3 survived. So they had already gotten credit back for all of them. Bonus! Not that they're really expensive, like $3.

I have a wedding to go to today, one of my gf's cousins. Not overly excited about that, and I hope they don't have a dance.

My NCAA bracket isn't looking so good. Only 22 out of 32 first round games correct. I think that's the lowest number I've ever gotten. My brother and I have a bet about who has the better bracket. If he wins he gets an ice cream cake and a Mario Little jersey (player for KU), if I win I get the first Star Wars Trilogy. Perhaps all six, though. I love me some Natalie Portman.

right now I'm on three allergy medications- benadryl, a steroid sprayed up my nose, and an antihistamine eye drop. This is ridiculous. I hate medicine. I've never had problems even within 10% of this before.

it sounds like your alternator may be messed up, go have it tested. I'd worry about the electrical of the car before the system.

Now you'll get all the chicks!

I think you'll want to seal off the trunk behind the baffle that holds the subs in the enclosure, because it sounds like you'll have it basically sitting in the middle of your car, and that may cause cancellation with the waves that get into the trunk.

I wouldn't let one bad review get in your way. There's no way for a product to please absolutely everyone. I'm sure there are people who don't like Lamborghinis and Ferraris, either.

I would say that you would most likely gain from upgrading the speakers. I doubt they put very high end stereo equipment in that car, so maybe even a pair of coaxials would be an upgrade. But what you should do first is go out and measure the speaker hole, both for diameter of driver and depth available. Depth is usually the limiting factor in selecting speakers. However, also note if there is any extra room between the speaker and the grill or door panel so that you may be able to put in a spacer to bring the speaker out a little bit to gain some extra room for the depth. What is your budget exactly? You can take a look at crutchfield.com, which has a tool that will allow you to input your car make and model and it will tell you which speakers will fit and at least give you a starting point. My friend has some lower-end pioneer coaxials in his car and they surprised me with how good they sound.

The 12" will also be able to play lower with more output.

it's a myth. Go with what you have room for.

How could you drive a car with GoodYears? ? ? ? ? ! ! ! ! ! Hey I do. I looooooove them.

That would be insanely incredible to see in person.

Yeah, but unfortunately that's not how it works.

Well now Texas could give Duke fits. I don't think Duke is all they're slated to be this year. But I do find it so funny that their bitch boy Paulus got benched in his senior year.
