I don't understand why you want two more tweeters up front when you already have four. Unless it's just some sort of psychological thing that you "need" to use all of your available channels of amplification. But since you already have four up there, you'll never hear two more, especially on deck power. What crossover would you use for those anyway? Does the deck have highpass?

I've always used winISD alpha.

What tweeters do you already have up front? An equipment list would be really beneficial here.

good idea. I just think it may be too many headaches.

WHAT AMP SHOULD I GET!!! HELP PLZ.

Yeah the RMS is 2,000 watts. That's really all that you need to know, peak numbers don't mean anything. What is your budget for an amp? Have you upgraded any of the electrical system of the car yet? -
You'll probably just want to wire them in parallel and bridge a 2 channel amp to them. What's your budget?

Why do you want to put extra tweeters up front if you already have some?

Run a separate power wire from the battery. But you'll have to make sure that the sub amp will accept 12 volts since it apparently belongs in the home on 120v. But since you don't have a remote wire it may be on all the time, except if it has an auto-sensing feature from the RCAs. If it doesn't have that feature, it will stay on all the time and drain your battery.

That depends on the equipment and your ears. If your HU only has a 12 db slope but the amp has an 18 db slope, you may want one or the other. If the head unit only has preset options for crossover points and not variable, that may decide for you if you don't want one of those points. -
Well if you're smart with the gain it won't matter, you can have one per sub. But the possibility of blowing the subs increases with one on each.

you should double up on ur crossover ... it is less frequency for your amp to filter out without an oscilloscope you cannot really test where your h/u clips that is why people say to turn it down to 3/4 (better to be safe than sorry) ... yes you need to tune the front and rear gains independently as they are driven separately sometimes making one set of outputs more than the other ... also make sure that when tuning each gain that you test both the outputs going to that gain as one can be slightly higher (always tune to the output with the highest voltage) ... do not tune to the birthed amount of power because your amp will most likely clip ... bring the wattage down some Having multiple crossovers in the signal chain causes phase issues. -
Are you only touching the soldering iron to the solder? You have to touch the tip to both solder and the terminal at the same time, that way they kinda melt together.

A signal is a signal. the sub won't know the difference, other than the increased amplitude.
-
x2. Plus way cheaper, and you won't notice much if any gain running one amp to each.

Turn the amp gains up. And yes you should turn on any crossovers before turning the amp gain up. But if you already have them on the amp, no real need to double it up with the head unit crossover. -
Merged your two identical topics.

I wasn't completely sure the gf and I were going to survive the phone call last night before I made it. And we barely did, for now. But it seems our days are numbered. She leaves for Omaha in a month, for four months. So if things don't drastically improve, we'll probably be done by then.

I'll move to sundown for you.

Components are better. They don't have a hole in the center of the mid's cone and come with external crossovers. Coaxials also usually don't have a lowpass xover on the mid, which is needed, and if the tweeter has one it's just a -6db capacitor.

quick question about dd's or any sub for the matter

It happens with every manufacturer. Usually the culprit is the shipping company dropping the packages. -
Sick. I'm so afraid of parasites in me, especially worms.

What amplifiers are you running? And how big are the alts (amps)? Do the alts have external voltage regulators? -
That's 8.9 cubes. Should be fine even after port displacement, but may want to figure the port out to make sure.
