i believe you would be very happy with the Q's just as i am.... Ported is the way to go 32hz tuning is most optimal for daily driving music
-
most likely the q's would move more but it all depends on the enclosure type, i believe the q's have more excursion
-
i have a alpine pdx 600.1 for sale for $135

As far from a Chinese company as one could get... We machine all of the stuff in house in Vegas ..not your 'local' machine shop..we simply do it all ourselves because we can. one of the most trusted car audio companies

they're rms rating for a btl is 2000, if you plan to put more on it is your choice.. about your electrical you have stock alternator whic probably pushes 60 -80 amps at max. And i know the amp you currently run pulls more amps so if your electrical system has not failed yet i bet you it will soon

why go with 2400 kinetiks when you can get 3800's?
-
ive got 2 12''qs and they are powered by two pdx 600.1 and they sound great but still are wanting more power, if you under power them you tend to want to turn the bass knob up and that ends in clipping them... if you only have that much power i would go with maybe the smaller sub ssd
-
ok so it sounds to me like you want sq right? but why would u mention spl? your not gonna make a 1 q or havoc push great numbers.. your kinda confusing me, what are you lookin for? what kinda car? how much room to work with
-

-
it looks as though the woofer is unloading a bit, whats the ss set to?
-
just follow the speaker recommendations and you will do fine with a sealed box, they are easy to build.... goto lowes or home depot get 1 sheet of 3/4 mdf, some form of wood glue ( i like titebond or liquid nails), and if you want more strength use a nail gun

Just looking around and thought this video might be interesting to some.. http://blog.edesignaudio.com/?p=244

i belive the bl will get louder but the q will definately show a better response in lower frequencies.
-
i believe nick said that a q without bp power can handle 1200 clean but anything more things start warming up id stick within recommendations at 1000, now with bp the 1500 is a perfect setup but just set your gains accordingly or you will fry things up.
