the signal wires are ran on the opposite side of the power wires.... i followed existing ground on the big 3 but took the old ones off and sanded down... ill post a pic later how it was grounded but it all started when messing with the alternator.... and the amp is mounted to a carpeted board underneath the box, as far as hot swapping i may have done that in the past

its some kind of dial is what it looks like the wires run into it but mike said all i have to do is hook it up and it will work he already dialed the voltage in at 14.8 after heat displacement he said i would get a 14.4 charge -

nope like i said before its a metal housing where some wires are in. no place to plug a plug in but thats why im thinking that is the external regulator that is where i can adjust my voltage... -

I know what piece you are talking about but there is nothing where a plug can fit into its just a metal housing -

yea i already have that taken care of but thanks for the reminder, i do have one question though it looks as though on my alternator there is a plug of some sort and the post for the charge on the back of this one there is a post but no plug. But i am guessing there is no need for the plug because this alternator has a external regulator on it.... -

will it be outside doing demos or in a booth? -
the q12 or q15 will be plenty for your needs and you will b e happy with your choice... ive had my q's for 5 yrs never a problem.... just make sure to build the right enclosure for it if you say you have the room build a max sized enclosure for whaterver size woofer you do choose. i dont think you wll be dissapointed just because this woofer says its a sq driver, this thing gets down and moves alot
