Hello! -
I think he should have just gone with a big brake kit, BUT I do give him props for being one of the best fabricators I've ever seen. Amazing work.
-
If you're wanting to go for SQ you're going to want to have a sealed box. Are you going to build your own box, or have someone build one for you?
-
Very nice. Are you using the threads of the nuts to hold the wire in? I would throw some heat shrink around it, I think it would look good with that.
-
Is he looking for a floor standing speaker or a monitor style?
-
Good LAWD! I have to ask, Q's or the MT's?
-
I agree "wtf"?! haha
-
The BTL is going to be louder. That's assuming it's put into the proper box.
-
What does that mean? You're not asking a question.
-
Are you encouraging us to send him money Jacob?? You just want us to send them money because you KNOW it will just end up in your hands soon enough!
-
Great work, as always!
-
You're electrical is not dependent on the sub woofer you are running, but the current your amp will be drawing. If you haven't picked up an amp yet, I would advise you to spend more money on an amp, and a little less on the sub. If I were in your shoes, and based off of your assumed budget, I would pick up an SAE1000D and a 15" SSD with the BP power. I think you'll be more than satisfied with that, rather than the Hifonics. After you 'out grow' that, sell it and make a more serious purchase. (SAZ3000D + BTL?) Start small if you're new to this stuff, don't get in over your head right away.
-
I got a phone call from my buddy today and he wants me to build an enclosure for his step dad's jeep. The woofer is a 12" Sony Xplode that he used to have in his truck. I have NO experience with this woofer. What would you guys, if you have experience with it, recommend for the airspace for a ported enclosure? I'm not sure on the power, I'm assuming like 300w though.

Ah, how foolish, I forgot about Deka. Look at the Deka Intimidators. They are great batteries, for a LOT less.

Shoulder shrugs, lat pull downs, pull ups, pushups. Shrugs will help you the most in the neck and trap region. Vary with barbell and dumbbell shrugs.
-
Powermaster is the way to go. You can also look into Kinetic. I'd pick up the biggest Powermaster you can fit underneath your hood and then the D3100 for the trunk. I'm not sure how many a stock alternator can power though. I'll have to leave that for someone with more experience.
-
Budget for batteries?
-
From Sundown's website: "Sundown Audio only recommends this amplifier for experienced users with an upgraded alternator and additional batteries* due to the enormous power output potential." If you want to use it to it's full potential: BIG 3, new starting battery, and add a secondary battery. I'd pick up a voltage meter so you can monitor that. You may need to add a third battery. Just keep an eye on things.

Excessive amperage or iraggi

I would take a look at the DC and Mechman. They both are starting to become more popular. -
Welcome! Nice resume by the way!
-
I just looked on SSA and you get get 2 12" 187 series IA subs and a Sundown SAX125.2 (bridge) for $475. YOU can build the box and come very close to $500.

That chit's crazy. My old neighbor had this picture of him from the 80's with his buddy and there IS a ghost standing in between them. He told us that him and his roommates would actually communicate with the ghost. Hard to believe, but after seeing the picture there isn't a doubt in my mind. What happened to you Thumpper?
