Well, every battery I had in my house was dead, so there are no pictures. I did go out and measure though. I can fit a 4" midrange and a large format tweeter. However, my dash on my drivers side is a bit low and might interfere with the 'top' speaker on the kick. Any input on this?

Well the sub will not be going in any time soon. I bought it with other plans in mind, but don't feel as if I should sell it right now. Just for future reference I may be putting one in. However, I would feel better building the front stage with no sub in mind for now. As for the space. I will go out first thing tomorrow morning and get a real good idea on what exact space I have. I'll take some picture with a tape measure to give you an idea. This is my first real stab at it, so I may have more room than I think, or less. I did look around at some of the Sea's midrange drivers to give myself and idea of an outer mounting flange size. By the looks of things I should be able to do a 4" midrange and a large format (within reason) tweeter. But, like I said, I will give a more definite answer tomorrow morning.

I can't believe I forgot this part too. I have a 10" SSA Icon that will be going in a sealed box in the trunk. This won't be going in for a while, but I do have plans to put it in by the end of the summer.

I will be fiber glassing it, so I'm quite open for space. However, on my drivers side that might be a bit much. I might be able to squeeze that in there, but I think it would be safer to choose one or the other. If it comes down to it though, I know I could work something out. How big would the mounting diameter be on the tweeter, roughly?

My gas door is on that side on my Thunderbird, and I love it there!

I was quoted $3200/year on the '03 M3, and $2800 on the '01 CLK55. That's just absurd. Good Lord. That's insane.

That is hilarious, Adrian. That kids face when he sees that chicken coming!

thank you! i loath the "im going to get 4 BTL cause i seen one guy with the set up on you tube. I like the people who want to do a wall for their very first set up. Good luck.

That's probably why they charge so much, they can afford to send you a recone after robbing you.

True. But if you are going to spend almost $500.00 on a subwoofer it would be nice to have a little assurance. But to each his own. I am not bashing Fi by any means. Its just one thing I don't agree with. I just sleep better a night knowing that my pair of subs have some kind of written warranty. They have as much warranty as the BTL's do. They do not cover abuse, they do not cover open coils. (Which is the only way speakers break btw) It covers manufacturing defect..that's it. 9500's are in the ~800 dollar range now right? Bottom line is we're not out to screw anybody, if it is our fault we'll say it is our fault and we'll fix it, Regardless of what series it is. But we will not warranty abuse/being silly...nobody else will either. So in essence..you've got the exact same warranty by going with the 9500... But you're spending more money.

What type of warranty do the DD's have?

HID's actually bother me much less than regular lights.

What is the fastest you have gone
ABXX49 replied to bassahaulic's topic in Automotive and Performance
x2 114 in a 98 corolla CE. with 9 people in my car. i couldn't believe it. on that little stretch, it's like the only place in town to see how fast you can get, i'd guess it's about 1/3 mile before you need to slow down. i usually never got over 108 there, with just me and/or a couple friends. btu the fastest ive ever gone with me driving was 114 with 9 people in a corolla. it was weird. but fun. How many days did it take you to get going that fast with 9 people? haha -
No one around here likes any of the new Hifonics garbage. Stay away from that!

hunt them down and eat them, turkeys are really annoying birds (though not as mean as geese). Used to have geese,..those little suckers would ATTACK me!!! ... It hurt when they pecked at my legs >_< ,...little buggers, When I was a young pup of about 3 years old I was attacked by a flock of geese. I was physically and emotionally scarred for many years.....

There is a guy over on DIYMA who has built a TON of G35's. I believe his handle is "simplicityinsound." I would suggest asking him, as I'm not familiar with anyone on here who has a G35. Why can you not take measurements yourself?

So you don't want to use an amplifier? Honestly, if it came down to it I would opt for a cheaper sub that I can put an amplifier to rather than using my HT receiver.

Why a fake Mark 8 when for the same price you can get the real deal? It's not really in the same league as the Lincoln, but I'll break it down for you. 1. It's cheap. Insurance and repair costs will be less on the Buick 2. Better mileage. 3. More room, bigger trunk. 4. Better in the winter months. 5. The 3800 series engines are one of the few things GM got right. I've had several of these and they are damn near indestructible. 6. It's cheap. Damn air suspension. If it weren't for that I'd be surprised on the repairs, but that is a big fucker. Insurance was high on mine now that I think about it. Mileage is a new one, I was always shocked at how good the Mark 8's were. Both of mine averaged 24+ on the highway. In town not so much, but I bought them to go down the road as it was during a time when 60,000mi/yr was a low year for me. 4.6 DOHC >> 3.8 Hard to argue with the "it's cheap" as it is a lot of car for $4k. I just have to rib you though as out of all people buying a GM I didn't think it would be you. THe KBB is like 2600 something. I love my 3.8 supercharged

Could save your pennies and put an aftermarket blower on it! I love my SC >. P.S. The AMG badge makes me feel funny inside.

That means big $$$$$$$ for insurance. Complete comprehensive coverage is roughly the same as a well equipped 1999 GMC Suburban SLE 1500 2WD (damn that's a mouthful). Works for me MOAR PICTARS!
