Keep in mind that loudness is subjective. I personally think my 1 12" Q I used to have was friggin' loud. I'm going to be putting 2 12" Q's in my buddies Escape tonight, so I'll update when I hear it!

That does change things. In order to recommend a firing position I'm going to ask you what your goal is. Is it just to get loud and be a good daily driver/ground pounder?

Larger Box/Lower Power vs Smaller Box/Higher Power (Disregarding Space
ABXX49 replied to Phil04's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I was going to suggest the same thing. With this program you can easily see the differences a box makes on the response. Just note that the responses shown in that program are with the enclosure in an infinitely large room, not a car, so what you get in the car will not be exactly the same. However, it will at least allow you to view enclosures compared to each other and give an idea. Correct. winISD is a theoretical program. In a perfect world, the results generated in winISD would be real. However, you have to take into effect cabin gain, room gain, trunks, SUVs, walls, etc. It will give you a great idea though. Just make sure you look at the help tutorial before plugging things in. -
I think their warranty is for any manufacturer defect or DOA. Most companies end their warranty there. If you blow your speaker you'll have to pay for the recone. Could you make your question more specific though?

I'm 99% sure those are RMS. If those were peak, you'd see an RMS somewhere. -
Do you have rear seats? Are you just going to fire into them? If you're considering it, I'd turn them around and fire towards the rear.

Larger Box/Lower Power vs Smaller Box/Higher Power (Disregarding Space

In general, if you build a larger box, you're going to get a more profound low end in comparison to a smaller box. Have you ever used winISD? If you download it and get to know it you can see how different parameters and things change. -
IHOP MVP. Not only does Sean do audio, he does boats, toilets, counter tops, cabinets, racing, coffee, and good food. Is there anything this man doesn't do?!

Welcome and enjoy!

Great work. This thing is going to put up some disgusting numbers...

It's pretty much standard across the board, you build larger you get louder and lower. Increasing inside increases efficiency, but decreases power handling.

I would believe so. -
! Mine should be here today as well. I hope, at least.
-
It's all box dependent. Build on the larger side and tune a tad lower.
-
I'd personally build a larger one. It's going to help bring the low end out more.

Advice from a "Pro Doctor." EDIT: That is not a comment from Meade, but one of his loyal Youtube fans.

The guys from Fi like to do that to us! They always deliver in the end though...<3

Especially to gain that much over the 150 mark.
-
Not too shabby there!
-
Nice. If you continue to make gains, will you deaden the whole Jeep?

As my goal is to get majority of my frequency range to play from my mid, correct?
