Hi all. I just had my wisdom teeth taken out at 9 this morning under full anesthesia. Feel great until I take the gauze out and it's a nice achy dull pain ALL the way through my jaw. Just kind of wondering other peoples experiences with this and how long it took them to heal/get back to working. Bottom two were completely impacted and the upper two just partially. I guess I was singing some 80's jam when I woke up?

Washed 60 cars today at the dealership. Mowed 6 acres of field. Poured 450^2 ft of concrete. I'm as red as a lobster. Goodnight hop.

thanks for the info...i was worried that there would be a noticeable difference in SQ; well, maybe only audiophiles would be able to tell. i think i'll buy the deuce just for the headroom. It depends on how your car sounds. Remember, the car is a terrible audio environment. Unless you've got a world championship SQ car, it may be hard to tell the difference. **Note: I've never had the privilege to hear one with or without the BB, so my comment is based purely off speculation.

So is this a which one should I buy question? I'd say it's a budget question. Both subs are solid, and will get loud. (BL will get louder and handle more power.)

They may handle 3000watts, but for how long is the question.

Like above, this isn't a subwoofer issue you're having, it's a box issue.

The xcon is very sexy indeed. indeed they just need to make one in a 10 for me lol Haha yea i wouldn't mind a 10 for my s10. But you know what ssa needs to think about making is some midbass speakers.(If they haven't already.) yeah they would probably be some kick ass ones Funny you say that we are cooking something up. I've felt absolutely fine today. I think I've taken 3 vicoden in the past two days. Very, very moderate amount of swelling. I've been living on the Carnation Instant Breakfast though. Stuff doesn't taste too bad and has all the vitamins and minerals to hold me off for a few days!

What's your over all budget for sub and amp?

That's roughly the answer I get from a lot of people. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I feel fine really. It's only been maybe six hours, but I think if I had to I could go into work tonight, haha. We'll see what tomorrow brings though

As John said, it's a measure of resistance. The lower the ohm load, the lower the resistance. When you lower the resistance, you make the "pipe" larger. This allows more current to flow through it thus giving you more power. 1ohm on 1, 2, or 3 subwoofers it 1ohm. It will put the same amount of power out no matter how many woofers you have wired to it. It will, however, divide the power between the woofers. The lower the resistance, the more power. ***Not all amplifiers are designed to run at 1ohm.

This may be true. Every vehicle is going to be different though. The crossover point might be right, but the slope might need to be changed. You might have to TA the one side. This is all pertinent stuff in a SQ install. Now if you're just looking for something that plays music a comp. set will be fine.

Well you should predrill all of your holes anyway. And the screws really only need to hold for the first few hours, because after that the dried glue is what holds the box together. When I USED to use screws, I always predrilled holes. ALWAYS ALWAYS. However, I've found that a Titebond3 glue joint is more than sufficient.

I just recently built a box for a 10" Icon. I can't express how happy I am with it.

What is the power you can safely recommend with this option? Is it an option? Do ALL new ones come with?
