thanks. I keep switching between the BL and BTL, but not sure if I wanna lose a huge chunk of space with the BTL, lol. I have to go to more measurements to see how everything can fit.

So I am about ready to start this new setup. I ended up thinking that I would like to go with two flared ports with a 15" sub. Is it okay to put two flared ports in an enclosure with a single 15? I wanted to do this, sadly, for the looks so I can keep the sub in the middle of the enclosure so things stay symmetric. How do I go about this. Do I follow the same rough 12 to 16 inches of port area per cu ft of volume or do i now divide that in half since I am running two ports. Any help would be great as I dont want to screw this up. THanks.

Cool. I will probably just stay with that in the end. I was lookin at a single 15 with 2 flared ports. Seems like with every post I get more excited, lol.

So I finally figured out roughly what I will be doing, probably a single 15" BL ported. How should I position these in my trunk. I know the typical is subs and ports facing the rear of the car. More than likely I will almost always have the back seats down, should this affect the way I point my subs and port. Should I go subs facing forward with port foward if my seats are always down, or subs facing the rear of the car and port facing the front of the car. Thanks for the help and patience with me.

I will have to give it a try. Needing only a hair over 3 cu ft should still leave tons of room for putting stuff. I have been debating making an extra setup for when I am not traveling, not to sure yet though.

yeah, i gave up on SQ. I think I will have more fun just getting loud.

So, I will be putting a couple subs in my new car and am not sure what to do. I wanna get loud, but I am not sure what exactly to throw into the trunk. How would 2 15's sealed compare to 2 10's ported?? I like bass alot, especially when it shakes everything! Anyhelp would be great. Also, gotta do either 2 10's or 1 15 ported to save some room. I will probably be going with Q's or BL's.

That looks pretty cool. Unfortunately after my discussion with M5, I decided I will probably be best off staying with my ported enclosures.

You beat me to editing my last post. Anyway, after reading over other peoples posts on Fi's section of the forum, I think I may sacrifice a little room and go with 2 10's ported. I think that is the only real way I can get decently loud and still save space. I figure that should still be "louder" than 2 12's sealed. Not to mention, even as 10's ported, they should KILL my P3's. also, thanks for your help, like i said, i am newer to DIY car audio cause I am tired of getting junk from Best Buy etc.

My bad, still learning. My goals are to get loud enough to annoy people (even though i wont) and sound pretty good (not perfect sounding but real good). I also wanna save as much room as possible in my trunk, so I am thinking like maybe 3-4cuft of enclosure space. So I can fit some decent sealed subs in there or maybe 2 small ported subs. I am just not sure how they average out because I have heard only ported. Right now I am looking at maybe 2 15's sealed (pushin it, may have to go with 12's) or maybe 2 10's or a single 15 ported (depending on what will fit). I will probably be going with Fi Q's. I listen to lots of rap!!! and some heavy metal. (David Banner, Lil John, Korn, Slipknot, etc) so trying to get something that will work with everything.

Well, I have finally got a "newer" version of my dream car, a dodge charger. I have no real clue what to do when it comes to audio. I have pretty much always had Best Buy style stuff in my vehicles, last one being 2 RF P3's ported. I want something that will take as little room as possible and still get loud, lookin more at LSQ. I was thinking about doing maybe a 15 or 2 using an IB setup, but have never really seen a IB build and am not sure where to start. I do know that I have to sound deaden the entire trunk. Heads up, more than likely my back seats will always be folded down. Or will I benefit more from a sealed setup. I am not entirely sure. Any help would be great, or at least asking me questions to help point in the right direction. Also from previous readings, I will be putting in around a 200 amp alt, upgrading the battery, and more than likely getting another battery, also big 3 upgrade.
