warrenty was up in december... One of the wires coming out of the sub going to the terminal snapped and looks charred... if i can get a camera ill try and get a pic of it.
-
Well the wire is too short to solder now unless i can add wire to it.. but i dont know where to find the same wire at..
-
How much would a recone be for a 12" Q. The tinsels broke on one of the coils....
-
Any suggestions on what wire i should use to lengthen it?

Hey everyone, I have a pair of d1 12" Q's. One of the wires coming from the cone going to the terminal on the sub snapped... and there seems to be some sort of burn on the wire (its blackened at both ends). Any explaination on why this would happen and any way to fix this. I know i can solder the wire back together but it just looks like it was too short to begin with, when i connect the two pieces of the wire together and press down on the sub it looks as if the wire was never long enough and just kept pulling on it until it finally snapped... Also if i can solder it back together should i add a longer piece of wire in? and where do i get this wire??? I dont know if this is a defect or something that i did but i know im not pushing them too hard because each is only getting ~750 watts from a sundown 1500d. Any help is appreciated.

Well, i designed the box to fit the small area in the back of my extended cab truck. I used all the available space i had. i have my subs facing the back of my seats and i was planning on putting flared ports facing up. Im not sure if thats correct tho... im kinda noob

Hey i made my box for my truck its 2.5 cu. ft per chamber and its for 2 fi q's. Im not sure exactly how to measure out how long or wide my ports need to be. Any help is greatly appreciated

Face subs towards back of seats or ceiling??

any other opinions? -
Im driving a Dodge dakota extended cab and im going to be running 2 12" fi q's. I was wondering if it would be better to face the subs towards the front of the truck firing at the back of the seats, or firing towards the ceiling of the truck. Thanks in advance for any help!

I think im probably going to go with the sealed box but when i got my subs they came in a ported box. Im not sure how its tuned or its exact dimensions but its a very nice box. Im going to try both options and see what i like better.. Any recommendation on facing subs towards the back of the seat or towards the ceiling?

Area i have to work with is height - roughly 20" width - 54" depth - 16" Im planning to get a sundown 1500 to run them, im going for more of a sq system, but i love bass so id like to to be loud The dimensions above are the maximum i can fit just to let everyone know.

Im really liking the sundown amps, ive heard nothing but amazing feedback from them, where can i find them tho, id like to go used if i could.

I think im going to go the sealed route because im goin for more of a sq type deal. Now another question do you guys think i should aim them towards the back of the seat or towards the ceiling?
