All my experience in audio comes with sealed enclosures, even so, after having visited this site, I feel like my past work was rather half assed and mindless. This is what I have so far: I am planning on using two soundsplinter rli10s, and I could be perfectly content with keep it sealed, but I want to try my hand at porting and perhaps learn something new. I have been trying to talk to a few people about porting this enclosure, but I am not really getting any good information, and I am also reluctant to trust any information from WinISD. From what I understand, that program can be slightly flawed. My box is 1.08 cubic feet after all displacements are taken into account, except for the ports of course. Im looking to tune the port to 32 Hz, and would also like to know where the ports should be placed. I am assuming that since my subs are up firing, so should the port, but since I dont know much about porting, I am probley wrong. Any advice and information is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Heath

How much airspace do yo have to work with, and are you looking for a sealed or ported application. Also, what are you listenening habits?

Well ive just been debating between the ssd and the Q. Perhaps some input on the performace of them (the ssd that is)?

I used to work with a guy who was a manager of a shipment department at FedEx. He was tellling me this story about how he would get complaints on empty boxes, or missing deliverys on one of his drivers routes. She had worked there for years with out problems, he said. Anyways, he thought that maybe someone had too much time on their hands and was following the truck and picking up stuff left on front doorsteps (this still wouldnt explain sig required deliveries). He switched her to a diffrent route and sure enough he continued to get calls about missing stuff, etc. One day he waited for her to go out on route, and looked up her address in her employee file and went to her house. Apparently the truck was backed up to the garage, while they were unloading what they thought was good. Her whole garage was full of chit. He said at that point he called the police and let them deal with her. Its amazing how stupid people are, and how crooked people really are.

Man that sucks bad. I dont know how mad i would be if my books got stolen, especially with all my notes and such. I think that would be the icing on the cake. As far as living in the suburbs. Just remember, crooks like to shop in nice areas too.

I know some people use winixp to calculate their port area and lengths, but what method did you use to find out how long the port should be?

Very nice, Im curious as to when this started, since i live in Texas. Ive been thinking about getting a concealed handgun liscense since I was held up a while back.
