Well regardless of all that, did the sub make it there or not, since I can't tell by my receipt from usps, lol. Just wanting to know for a peace of mind.
-
if you search the label # on google, it comes up as a tracking number for usps though.....but then it says what i posted
-
I have my receipt with the label number on it and I went to usps's track & confirm page and entered it, but it just says VG714037716US Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office. Are there any other numbers on the receipt? That doesn't look like a tracking number...could be wrong though. There is no other numbers on the receipt, but the receipt they gave me was for the insurance purposes, no tracking # which is usually a 9xxxxxxxxxxx or something like that. On the track & confirm it asks for the tracking number or label # and it clearly says label # - the numbers/letters I posted previous.

Did yall get the sub?
-
Very neat shots

Looks awesome!
-
Just sent it out to yall

Crap that makes me nervous. My Q showed up bouncing around in the cardboard box. Small chip on the magnet but looked ok otherwise. Hope mine doesn't look like that in a few months. My Btl had a small chip on the magnet and it performed awesome. I'd just be concerned with cracks or if its multiple magnets, if they were out of alignment.
-
Sounds good to me, thanks for the quick response!
-
Yeah it is, I'm surprised with how big that crack is and that it is all the way around that it never gave me any trouble, no sounds...smells....or anything! I guess that is a prime example of made in the USA quality!
-
That could be a possibility...I can vouch for one of them to not have been dropped, had a friend pick it up and bring it to me, as for the other one, it was shipped from up north and who knows what all happened on that journey. I can only hope that it's not too bad! New motor is a must.
-
That would probably work....but.....hahahaha
-
I was moving my old box and it caught the edge of the new one where the sub was sitting and it moved the box a little. I bought these xcons used and they were fine, but they were both shipped in the boxes that SSA used. There is no telling what happened to crack the magnet, they were absolutely flawless when I received the subs and just now after pulling them out and changing enclosures, I noticed something was wrong. (Just yesterday I was playing them for a friend and there was no issues with them at all, no funny sounds or any signs of trouble)
-
It's going to have to be sent in, I bumped the box it was sitting on and the magnet shifted and I pressed down on the cone and could feel it scraping against something, so I'm just going to send it in once I hear something from Aaron or Mark.
-
Yeah, I've never seen it before ever.....and it's cracked all the way around.
-
Might end up doing side firing port since I'm having trouble trying to do sub/port up
-
I'm thinking about trying out a new enclosure for the Xcon's. Current box is 7+ cubes I'm thinking about going sealed and having them firing up. However, I don't think I'm going to like them sealed. If I do a new box and it's sealed, I'd like to keep within these dimensions 48" w x 16" d x 12" h And if I do another ported enclosure, I'd cut the width down and just build a taller enclosure and tune it to 30-33hz. Let me know what yall think and what suggestions yall may have. Thanks!
-
Well, after messing around with re box calculator and common sense, I have to have a box width of 30" just so I can have the 2 subs fit. Here is what I've come up with.... 30 x 30 x 16 30 x 28 x 16
-
Ok, for the smaller ported enclosure, I can do 30" w x 30" h x 16" d which according to re box calculator is right under 7 cubes not including port or sub displacement. That seems like more than enough room to do a new setup! Now I'm highly contemplating subs up with side firing port, but I've already had that setup with the 18" so I might just stick to subs/port up.
-
I'll seal off my box I have now and see how that is, then I'll decide from there. I already have a feeling I'll be building another small ported box.
-
This is what I'm afraid of.....I'm sure I'd be okay with sealed, but I know after a few weeks I'd turn it up loud and be like "what happened!?!" Maybe I'll just make a smaller ported enclosure and try that out. I just want more space so I can put my tools and my second battery in there. Along with subs and port firing up.
