any others want to help out?
-
replied, i'm still open to other ideas/suggestions!

lol, thanks anyways, make a coffee table out of it! yeah, i was planning on double baffle if i went with 2. i found out from the heavy ass btl (70lbs) that a single baffle wasn't enough, and bracing is a must.

one from dallas, one from maryland the other week
-
16" depth x 24" tall x 48" wide those are my maximum dimensions i want to use
-
extended cab f150 with no backseat. i used to have a 18" btl in 7 cubes back there, but i wanted some of my backseat space back, hence why i went with 12's.

i was thinking of port in the middle, and not so deep.....but like i said, i don't know how the port position in a dual sub setup will be affected in different places on the box.
-
yeah, i already looked at those and searched for every box built on here for a xcon (was only 3 pages)

i loved my single 12" ssd - sounded great and was very loud i've heard a few sa12 setups and they are just downright loud, but have a "flat" sound to them that being said, ssd = better sq sa = ridiculously loud (IMO) -
Of course, no problem, if no one wants the pair. There's actually been a lot of interest within just a few hours of posting the ad. Do you ever make your way up to the Dallas area from Houston? for work i drive all over texas and the u.s., lol, but i have a friend up there in arlington that will more then likely pick it up and bring it down to me when he comes down over the holidays if i don't make my way up there for work anytime soon. That'd be great, man. Shipping one of these isn't too hard, but I'm always scared of the shippers damaging stuff no matter how well I pack it so I do prefer a local sale if possible. where exactly are you located? my friend is in arlington

Been a while since I've posted on here, but I still have my Fi Btl 18" on a sundown saz3000d. However, I'm wanting to try something new and perhaps smaller. I'm in a toss up between ssa xcon, icon, or fi ssd. I'm wanting to do 2 12" subs, same amp, i listen to all types of music. I'm just wanting to get more acoustical sound in the sub stage, and go with a smaller box and hopefully have some nice sounding lows with as much output as the 18", if that makes any sense. I'm also open to any other sub suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Update! I was able to find a damn good deal on here from another member and I was able to purchase a 12" Xcon, I put it in my old box i used with my ssd, 2.1cu ft @ 33hz and it sounds great! Now I just need to get another xcon and I believe I'll be happy!

oh ok, i thought the stores testers went up higher then that. oh well, are you going to run 16v soon?
-
awesome to hear jon, i'd take the alt to autozone or somewhere and let them test it, it's free and you'll get a rough idea of what its putting out.
