im a big skiier been skiing for 13 years, trucks, riding my ATV, audio (or course),
-
well, that would make sense so that i wouldn't have to move my seat up but the big seat is the driver and the passenger seat in my truck is the bucket seat so its literaly like 16" or 17" mabey if i have some behind my seat and have it bump out in the passenger so i can get more mounting depth
-
the jl is a w1. i was going to build my box but the dementions where to shallow for even a shallow subwoofer so i decided to go to a pre fab box. i was thinking about making a box flare out between the seats but its a standard and idk if i could shift with a subwoofer in the way i can't make the box any bigger b/c im kissing the wheel as it is. and it only had 1.1 cubic feet
-
i forgot to post for a single cab truck. but if they are thin, could you pm me what it is.
-
k, i figure that my best bet for a sub is to get an enclosed subwoofer. which of these in your opinion are the best: kicker L5 10" solobaric, 12" kicker compVT, sony xplod 12" shallow, or the jl audio 12" power wedge thanks to everyone
-
k thanks, so i'll have to have my box go 8.5" over back window to get just over 2 cubic feet. How much room do i need behind the sub (its 6 1/4" deep) will 7.5" be enough?
-
lol, thats not what i was going for, it would be a nice thing though. anyways, how much do you think would be ok? 1"
-
alrighty, im gonna be making my box soon for my single cab truck. the dementions are (L)36" x (H)27" x (D1)3" x (D2)9". That is cutting it realy close because its 2.291 cubic feet. im going to run 2 kicker 12" compVR's which need 1 cubic foot at a minimum. im making it sealed so i have to make the two chambers, so will that 3/4" wood in between the subs reduce the volume to less than 1 cubic foot?? also, that is going to be right up next to my seat and i can't move it anymore closer (i'll be kissing the wheel) do i have to change the depth so it won't hit my seat???

alright, i think i have is figured out, finaly. there's a 900 watt amp that has 500 watts when its 1 at 4. and 2 kicker 4ohm 12" subs. Will that work???? hopefully
-
hey everyone, i am looking into 2 kicker 12" 4 ohm subs. now the problem is idk what amp to buy because the rating are different for different ohms (i think but i have no idea). what would that be 1 at 2 or 1 at 4, or am i just all mixed up and way off.
-
thanks alot, so will that system be loud and clear and all that good stuff or will i have to add mid range and tweeters? oh and what would be a good amp instead of that sony?
-
hey everyone, i just got a ford ranger single cab and i want to put in some audio stuff but i don't have any idea about this kinda stuff. i took some measurements and i have 9" of depth clearance so i was looking at a 12" kicker sub encloser, a sony 900 watt amp (it says Mono subwoofer amplifier, does that affect anything?? ) and a jvc Arsenal reciever. will all the different brands be allright togeter and will i need a different battery or anything? also on crutchfield.com i saw a ranger single cab sub box with amp made by mtx would that sound better intead of the kicker one? does someone have one by any chance? thanks to everyone
