Sealed tube I custom made with pvc. 12" diameter 2 feet long. 1.32ft interior volume before sub placement. All I can say is it goes pretty deep and pretty loud. More power is needed for my sealed setup but because i'm on budget constraints, it'll fill the bill. I know that if I go ported with a 1.6 or bigger box, this'll rock even with the power i'm running it with.

I got the same speaker as you and I love it. Be it that i'm underpowering it right now but not listening it too loud, all I can say is it still vibrates the car. With that power you should be doing pretty good.

I'm not an expert on FI products but it looks like the Q's would fit the bill. The rms for SSD's are about 800rms but you can definitely go over if everything is clean. The Q's are pretty popular and like I said, I would have gone that route if I had the money. Lots of extra headroom with the Q's and from all the reports.... they are awesome.

I didn't get a confirmation email when payment was accepted or tracking number. I just sent the payment and waited. I changed my order about a few days later to dual 2 ohms instead of dual 1's and he responded 2 days after with "the order was changed and it is being shipped the next day". 5 days later it arrived at my doorstep via USPS here in Hawaii. Total wait time was 8 days from payment to arrival.

Stevesan your post is kinda confusing. The Q caters to the bottom range better than the SSD. The Q has a slight advantage in the sensitivity category, according to the website, by 2 tenths. It has a higher xmax. I dunno but that has some of the recipes for some deep potent bass. So in theory the Q has an advantage over the SSD in those aspects alone. Now you have to factor in proper wattage and enclosure into the equation in order to find out the level of loudness attainable. Without it you can't determine it. The Q ends up louder due to bigger recommended box and more power. All in all, if I had the money I would have gotten the Q. I settled for the SSD and am not disappointed at all because it can get louder than most speakers in the same price range.

Just check his or your paypal account. If it says payment was sent and recieved by sales@ficaraudio then all is good. If not then payment did not go through.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I installed it in this leaky pos tube I had built in highschool (about 14 years ago) just to hear how it sounds and only got 300rms to it and it vibrates everything. Now off to build the correct box and ha ha ha.... more power!!!

I placed my order on the Dec 7th. Built and dropped off on Monday the 10th. Arrived at my door by USPS today on the 15th. Now I live in Hawaii and thats friggin fast too. Just make sure he acknowledges you after payment and all will turn out good.

I heard $25 extra for each sub. A guy who ordered said $22 for a 15" Q. I'm ordering a 12" SSD which is considerably smaller in size and weight but costs more to ship which kinda perplexes me. So if I order 3 SSD's will shipping be $75? Lemme know Scott.. thanks.

Both he and I have contacted Nick, Shawn, Scott in the beginning of November. I would say almost a month as enough time given to get a response.
