Don't remove the speaker covers. The whole back part is like fiber board. Theres like 3 bolts and then a couple of white clips holding it on. Be careful not to break the clips. Probably old and brittle. Mine was

thats a nasty setup right there. i like it -
damn 4 cubes in a camry? i want to see this. im sure it will fit no problem but my 3 cubes with my ported box is big and wide. it was a pain carrying it downstairs to my car. luckily it was easy to put in the trunk. like stated before you dont need to go all fancy. you can drill a hole for the wires and then silicon it up. i got my box design from another source.

5.25 is the pheonix gold speakers you see. I can look up stock speakers for you. I finally went ahead and got carpet for the box ended up spending 30 euro not too bad i guess. I also bought some spray adhesive its called "185" or something tomorrow i will be applying the carpet. Wish me luck. Im gonna watch a bunch of YouTube videos of how to do this the best and easiest way. Work has really hindered finishing this project up but in time it should be done

All 4 speakers front and back are 5.25 i believe. The rear speakers i added a tweeter to. the front i put everything in the stock location. You can fit a 6 inch and a tweeter in there if you want for the rear. Ive had these speakers for 2 years and just now am using them lol. I like the sound quality. I can show you a better picture of the rear speakers if need be

Thanks man! Some imperfections for my first time box building but i think it turned out great. I tried grabbing carpet today. I called them and the language barrier sucks. Im gonna try and go tomorrow to pick it up. Hopefully being in person will resolve what i need length and width wise for the box. I am itching to have this thing hooked up already

Thankyou guys! Means alot coming from pro guys!

Really pics are too small? I will see about resizing them for you guys. Any recommendations on sizing? Also i was wanting to use the "sail panels" for the new speakers but i think the plastic doesnt come off the stock speakers so i went ahead and made it out of MDF. Turned out nice for something im doing for the first time. I used a scroll saw for the templates and then sanded them down to smooth them out. Then i used a drill press for the cutouts and then sanded the inside down as well.

1 more for now. Im pretty much at a stand still right now. going to grab some carpet today from the local car audio shop here. I didnt realze how expensive carpet was but damn now i know. was also going to put my sundown amp on the back of the rear fold down seat and then make a amp rack for my hifonics amp. Im lost as to what kind of amp rack to make. id like it standing up.

is this a good price for a ported 15'' subwoofer box

Im defiantly going to slide it in through the trunk opening. Trunk opening is 47 inches wide and 16 inches long and 21 inches tall. Sorry if theres any confusion. Im a Newbie -
OK so as you guys know im overseas in germany right now. i went to a local car shop today and asked how much it would cost to build me a box for my Massive Audio DMX stg2 subwoofer and he quoted me 150-200 euros which is about $200-$300 for this build. the box would be made of MDF and will be carpeted. i asked about bracing and if he could build it in birch instead he didnt know what that was. the language barrier owns me and this guy. I asked him if i got the materials if he could build the sub and he said yes. so theres an option. I hear Birch is stronger and lighter, but harder to cut and you have to prep and sand the area, blah blah. anyway is this a good deal? I was recommended the box be 3 cubic feet at 33 Hz or 3.5 cubic feet at 35Hz. sub will be pushed with 1500-2000 watts rms for a daily. the guy at the shop wanted specs of the subwoofer. but i told him what my recommendations were and he said he needed specs for the builder to build it. specs are below i cant really find box specs for this subwoofer. says on the massiveaudio site to call for box specs. this will be going in a 2000 toyota camry LE https://www.massiveaudio.com/store/product.php?productid=16153&cat=265&page=1 any help on a box would be great.

Ok guys i went to the auto class today it was decent. showed me around, but they didnt have any kind if wood shop tools there. however there is one at my local activities center. Except they already had a class thursday and the next class is in may. Drats!!! But the instructor was nice and said if i can get 4 people to come to the class then i can have a class just for us. If not looks like in waiting... Anyway looking at my trunk today and measuring. Im lucky enough to have fold down seats in this toyota. That opening is nice its 26 inches wide by 12inches high. I think i want the box as close to the opening as possible. Trunk measures 40 inches wide and gets wider... by 20 inches height. Can show pics if need be. Height is a concern because there are two metal lines that run across the top of the trunk. trunk opening to fit the subbox in is 30 inches i wanna say. might have to wiggle the box in? I also will be looking for an amp soon. Gotta get the wife to approve.(yes im whipped dont judge me! Lol) a amp like a DD amp that runs 2k watts rms at 12 volts sounds nice. Anyway i think i have some decent trunk space for this subwoofer and the box to support it. Any helpful info would be great -

Question about big 3
Billetproof97' posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ive searched ca.com ive searched here a little bit and i even asked a dedicated forum for my car but i have a 2000 toyota camry with a 2.2l and im trying to do the big 3 on it. But with all the wires in wire loom and such However doing it is alot harder than my s10. So my question is can i just add 0gauge wire and not mess with the stock wiring? Or is this a no go? Reason i thought i could do it is becauase i see alot of you guys run multiple strands on 0 gauge instead of just one strand. Any help would be great. -
