Hey guys i just installed my new Alpine CDA-9886 deck and a pair of Infinity Kappa components and they just are not loud by any means i have set my gains on the 2 channel amp running them (MTX 502X). Now i am really confused the amp's birthsheet said it was rated at 69 watts rms per channel and my factory speakers in the back are louder. Any input would help thanks in advance. Brian

well actually i had them off of deck power before cause the 1st mtx amp went bad (went into thermal) and they were a little louder but they sounded pretty horrible aka no midbass just not as crisp as before so now i have no idea what to do

Hey guys i am looking for a single 15" setup, the amp i have to power either sub would be a mtx thunder elite 801d it puts out 851x1 rms at 2 ohms, i listen to about 70% rap and 30% rock i am mostly interested in getting loud i know that that is totally install dependant, so either sub would be ported at around 32-33 hz and in about a 3.5-4.0 cu ft enclosure. Either these two woofers or any others under $300 any information would be very helpful. Thanks, Brian

hey guys i am going to order a 15" Icon but im not sure what voice coil i should get to get a 2 ohm load on my amp. also when i make my box would it be better if i put the sub on the left side and the port on the other, or should i put the sub in the middle and the port on the side? oh it will be a 3.8 cu box what should i port it too?

im ok on the dual 1 ohm coils but i have a 97 toyota camry with the fold down rear seats so in an optumal car or suv will it matter where thesub is placed in the box, or will some positions affect output or sq

umm there isnt really a particular reason other than all of the companies like Fi, SSA, and sound splinter have woofers that i could only afford 1 and with the power i have i could really only power 1

hey guys i am pretty new to the game, and i just sold my old system and wanted to do something new. i had 2 12" kicker cvr's in a ported kicker box with a kenwood 500x1 rms 2 channel lets just say it was sloppy but it got pretty loud. I just bought a new mtx thunder elite ta801d and its putting out 891x1 at 2 ohms and i dont know whether to get the 15 Q or the 15 SSD, and i have no idea what kind of options to put on it. I listen to 60% rap and 40% rock and im trying to focus on LSQ. would either of these woofers get louder than the 2 12"s i already had? any imput that you guys have would be extemely helpful! i think i might go with the SSd because it doesnt like it will be much different in output from the Q but its almost 70 dollars less, but now should i go for the copper coils or flatwind
