Competitions or Events in Utah?
gprestonmoto replied to cehmke's topic in Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events
Not enough alcohol, too many rules, and a lot of Aryan looking people. Been to Utah a few times and that's all I saw. -
I watched this like 15 times.

Yea there's nothin' really there that would help your enclosure.
-
That's white folk shit right there.

She's so purty

It doesn't matter. Depends on how manufacturers list their t/s parameters. Just change them according to the manufacturer's parameters and double check when you enter different ones.
-
The newest update of winisd is kind of a pain in the ass with entering parameters, I usually enter Fs, Vas, Qts, Qms, Mms, Sd, BL, and xmax. Just let it calculate the rest.

Fuck, I always forget PR's.... Who makes a good PR nowadays?

So I've modeled my Crystal cmpx2 12" and it is completely flat from 30Hz + in a 2.1 cubic foot box tuned to 22.8 Hz. That's perfect but I'm having a hell of a time putting it together. I have my max dimensions but I'm stuck. It's a slanted box in the back. Can someone put something together so that I can get this built asap? Height can definitely go down, and width can definitely be made smaller, but I'd rather it be wide over tall just to look symmetrical. I dunno why but I'm insanely anal about symmetry. 40"w x 18" tall x (9 1/4" d1 /// 14" d2)

Which subwoofers? You have ~9cubes to work with there gross before port. Orientation meaning where are you firing port? But now that I see dimensions, I'm assuming port forward. -

Dimensions, subs, orientation? -
Eric said that he would recommend an 8 or 10 as well, but I told him Sencheezy was interested in using a 12". His recommendations were the Beyma 12G40, The Faital Pro 12PR300, and the Eminence Delta 12LFC
-
Eric recommended a few different options. I find that pretty juvenile to jump to the conclusion to use a driver because he has stock in them. I spoke with Eric, asking for 3-4 recommendations for a 12" driver to be installed in a door in IB configuration or having 2 cubic feet to work with. I'm not saying that the AE's are a good option too, I'm just saying there's no need to fling mud at someone who has had such an enormous impact on the car audio hobby.

This is gettin' like Facebook, people asking the same questions, gettin' the same answers. Then wonder why either no one responds, or people start gettin' fired up.

Ermagerd. Welp. That just ruined my day.

It's in our nature to kill ourselves. It's in our nature to kill eachother.

Looks like the price of good internals has gone down slightly, but it is a little but of a pro DIY'er job http://www.corksport.com/corksport-mzr-high-flow-fuel-pump-internals.html
-
Yea and it's a pain in the ass. In order to keep up, you buy aftermarket or Audi internals. I used to give a shit about that car, but it's a royal pain in the ass and I lost interest. Used to love Mazda's, will always love rotaries, but no interest in the rest.

I had a gen1 speed3 and a gen2. Gen1 is way nicer. The ricer interior of the newer ones is awful, I had a 2010 with all the tech. Fuel pumps are friggin' garbage, you have to rebuild em to do intake and exhaust safely or pay between 550-700 for an upgraded one. I'll give credit though. The cPe Intake for the gen2 was DAMN nice looking, albeit expensive as hell

Sure, if you would like to start a dedicated thread go for it. IT HAS BEEN STARTED!

Car seat goes in the 3rd row, next to the woofer. If you do that, I GUARANTEE you will see Cheerios fly at high speeds around your vehicle. LOL.

I might I'm gunna beat on that sub until it gives out on me. It's still doing low 140s I'm seriously hoping you're a troll right now if you claim one of your coils reads 20+ ohms and you're still going to "beat on it" Umm I still have one good coil?... A Ducati runs well on one cylinder too.
