Umm he dumps it, cars swerve to miss, one car doesn't miss, or another car misses but while swerving hits another car. Chain reaction. ^^ this. I've ridden for years and yes a wheelie is fairly easy to do, except for unseen circumstances. The one thing I've learned is that no matter how good you are, everyone else sucks. People see wheelies and swerve. Are they stupid? Absolutely. Are they wrong? Of course. Are you still up shit creek without a paddle? Yep, dead is dead. Makes no difference who was right. Ever hit a dirt patch and slip a little? What happens when only one wheel is on the ground and that slip lays your ass out? All cars around you are affected. It's just stupid. Stunting in a parking lot is no big deal, closed track, no big deal. Nothing should be done in traffic but normal riding.

Nothing is truly a "risk only to one's self". If he's hurt or worse, his family will be the ones suffering for it, not him. Either way, if he wants to do this on a private/abandoned runway, go for it, but on a public road... it's just a danger to others as well as himself.

Wow thanks a lot man, now I just have to come up with where the hell I want to put it. Under the deck seems messy since it's not a 1/2 unit. Gonna have to look around and see where I could hide it and have fairly quick access.

I rode while I was in the service nearly every day, it's a ton of fun, but you really don't learn restraint until you see one of your friends that looks like he was put through a meat grinder and won't be getting up to get his kids ready for school tomorrow. It's just fucking stupid.

I don't want it to seem like I think Kicker is crap because it's not by a long shot. I just don't use them anymore. I feel that there are better ways to spend my money. By no means do I dislike their product or have anything bad to say about them. That being said, I would be holding on for the brands offered on SSA's store.

Know a lot of military buddies that died doing stuff like this on public road. Definitely not my thing...

I concur.

Hey guys, so my dad really wants an Image Dynamics 12 for Father's Day and I want to build him a box for it. It's going in a Honda CRX, and I want to try and load it off the rear hatch. I just need a simple sealed design and cut sheet. He's got 35"s between the two shock mount plastic panels and 28" from the open storage box to the back so space isn't an issue whatsoever, especially for a sealed box. Only thing important is that I want it fairly close to the 35" across so I can mount it right behind the storage tray angled back to the hatch class. Any help? Thanks a lot guys, and here are all parameters you might need http://www.imagedynamicsusa.net/files/59633398.pdf

So... DCON's it is.National back order And? I'd rather wait for DCON's than go buy a Kicker. lol I love ssa and their subs, but comments like this and the way you guys hate "mainstream" brands is petty. I dunno man, I still like a lot of stuff Fosgate makes, besides their price point. There's actually a fair amount of "mainstream" brands that have some good stuff. Kicker to me just hasn't been one of them in 15 years.

Not sure if anyone is really interested, but I got this today. It was a service drop off, we repaired the RCA inputs and the customer never came back. So it's going home with me. I've got some connections who can do a little something for me so we're going to cut a plexiglass sheet for the front and cut outs for the display and the fans, probably going to upgrade the fans and get the whole thing powdercoated.

It's an old A2300HCT. It is literally the ugliest amplifier I have ever seen. LOL, but our shop has a good relationship with quite a few different auto shops around us, so I'm going to have it powder coated. The top cover is God Awful so I'm just going to cut out for a 200mm fan and the dials into a piece of plexi and mount it to cover her up. No not yet, audio plans have completely changed on the build for sure. Have no clue what I plan on doing for subs at the moment. I'm trying to come up with ideas.

My grandfather passed away in 2004, and I finally ended up getting the nerve to start getting the Eldorado fixed up and handled. I went up to my grandmother's house Sunday and tried to get her fired up after sitting for about 5 years. Electrical all seems good besides having to replace the battery of course. I came across a couple of things that royally pissed me off but when I go up again to try and pass the old gasoline out, or drop the tank if it comes to that, I should be able to have her running and ready to go. Plans are RF Punch Pro 6'' or 8'' in the doors below the factory speaker locations and the Punch Pro Tweeters in the factory 4'' locations. Rear speakers will be disconnected and a pair of DR's or DP's in the trunk, haven't decided yet. Just some pictures of it during the clean up. http://instagram.com/paradymedrew# I'll take some more with the phone's normal camera next time. Sorry it's an Instagram link.

So... bored at work, went perusing through old stuff, and holy shit what happened to this guy? That's a woodworker right there. I love these boxes he does. Man Thump if you're out there. I would drive 17 hours from Sacramento just to see this work in action.- 157 replies

Fuck Sonic Electronix. They make it damn hard to make a living for everybody.

DAMN, didn't mean to start a war. Lol, however I really would not mind heading up to Minnesota or at least shooting some shit on the phone with Sean. You are a sharp dude, and I would really like to pick your brain and hear some recommendations from you for my personal project without any interference. Possibly e-mail?

All interesting. I tend to follow what ever Brad says lol, but I'll be doing some research.

I love this Third Eye Open album.

I guess I'm just trying to make sure my front stage can keep up with the substage, as well as integrating a DSP into the system. I don't want it to sound like shit, but I have heard a few systems that lack everything but bass running decent amplified component sets. I'll just be researching more until it's time to pull the trigger.

I'm open to anyone's knowledge being dropped. I'm not pretending to know more than anyone, just interested in why some people swear by pro audio and some hate on it.
