Depends on the spider and scorpion. While no tarantula is deadly to humans, there are deadly scorpions. The Chilean Rose is an awesome beginning spider because they get very big, are easy to handle, and their venom is very mild. No more then a bee sting. In contrast, I had a Blue Baboon spider a long time ago that bit me, and it was awful. I struggled to breathe for several hours and my hand and arm swelled up, they cramped brutally, and felt like I had stuck my arm in a fire for 3 or 4 days. After that I never kept a poisonous, aggressive spider... it was ridiculous. But it was a gorgeous spider, especially after a molt. Just for Peng... I almost picked up a Death Stalker but wife told me no...

I don't know a ton about spiders, I've done herp rescue for years and got called in for a scorpion rescue (kinda comes with the territory) and I've been researching a lot about them. My Spadix is mildly poisonous. I've read that it's similar to a bee sting but I would definitely disagree. It was worse, but not awful. I can tell you that I won't be handling him anymore. Emperor scorpions are pretty simple to handle, and some spiders are as well, but I'm not really into spiders, my wife is terrified of them. For some reason she likes the scorpion.

Doesn't have a need to. Arachnids are each different but many species only take on things they can handle. A person is pretty big and they don't see it as a threat. So he just chills and waits to go back to hunting arthropods or whatever their preference is. My H.Spadix scorpion on the other hand does not like to be handled, he doesn't like his little existence being interrupted by me. He tagged my ass yesterday. I got drunk at a concert and came home a little braver than i should have been. Didn't work out for me too well. Feels like putting a cigarette out on my arm.

I like where this is headed. Chillin' in the chat for a bit

Congrats on the girl man! Is it just me or is it weird that people question our new amp supplier about a lot of things, people agree, and I ask about their prices and people get a good grip on their balls and start swinging. Give me a break. People pay for quality and reputation. If i don't know who you are, I'm not shelling out the money I do for companies I trust.

Your enclosure is 90% of the sub setup, so yes it is most likely the problem.90 percent ... No, I wouldn't go that far. If that was the case, There wouldn't have been any need to go with those expensive Zcons you're running. You could have done just as good with a custom built CNC enclosure with a pair of Funkey Pups ... Pretty sure running TWO Funky Pups in a vehicle is illegal in 49 of 50 states.

So American bass is in the crescendo class? No American Bass is much lower on the totem pole, but they are established. -

Exactly, makes it a hard sell to me for a new manufacturer. Not going to shell out the money to a brand new company when I can get a Crescendo for the same price unless there was something that someone can prove is worth it. What would make a consumer choose this over a Crescendo? That's my point. -

Hence the question as to what makes them cost more. It was a fact finding mission not a chance to flex internet balls, but whatever makes you happy man. I'm not going to assume that the amplifiers are made of gold until it's proven they are. -
Flatline Audio Amplifier Models/Specs/Pricing
gprestonmoto replied to Flatline1's topic in Flatline Audio
So every amp should be the same price going by your logic. They are pricey compared to what? Actually that's not even close to what I said. Compared to other amplifiers, they are more expensive. And yes, all amplifiers with similar features should be priced fairly close. That's like saying 600 horsepower cars should be in all price ranges. Well hell yes I'd love that. But someone paying big money for the same power would probably be disappointed in their purchase. I was asking what made the amplifier's price higher than comparable models as there could be difference to make it worth the price. I wasn't being rude, nor was I trying to stir the pot, I'm gathering information. Thanks for adding a high level of maturity to the topic. -
I wouldn't mind seeing Pacific Rim in John's Lincoln. LOL, dubstep+robot noises in there would probably give you heart palpitations.

Also I'm glad to see I'm not the only skeptic here as far as amplifiers go.

Flatline Audio Amplifier Models/Specs/Pricing

They look great but kinda pricy. If I need a good Korean amp, I usually grab an American Bass amp. What makes these better than say a $250 PH-4000 MD? http://www.americanbassusa.com/product.detail/product_id/141 Having trouble justifying cost. Not being a dick, I am legitimately interested. -
Hey man, my mom-in-law does rescue for all sorts of dogs, she has had like 3 dobies and she kept one. If you want I can ask her to peek around for you bro. Get me a city/state and I'll see what she can do, if you want.

Hey Godsmack, google "Dragon Inside". I always get shit from them. Spend $400 and get a tailored, very high quality suit.

Zapco traded for a Diamond Audio Technology D5 300.4 in pretty decent condition. Might redo the body but I'm still trying to come up with a plan for it.

Some people probably think it's retarded, but I like picking up free or nearly free amplifiers, headunits, and subs that need some TLC and bringing back to life. Custom casing, engraving, etc. Not a business or anything, just a little hobby. If anyone is interested, I'll post some resurrections in this thread as time allows and as progress occurs. Picked up a Soundstream Granite 120.4 with blown output transistors for the 3rd and 4th channel, so I'm going to swap those out sometime next week and then kinda figure out what I'm gonna do with it lol. Also got a Zapco i-2100 that keeps going into protect, so I'll be working on that project too when I get a little time. I have a POS Toxik Audio 120.2 that just had a bad cap, replaced, works fine now, probably going to give it to my dad. Someone gave me a Pioneer DEH-P770MP yesterday that I really wouldn't mind bringing back, guts all checked out and she runs like a top except.... display is toast so I'll be keeping an eye out for a faceplate in decent condition. Was browsing eBay and too pricy for my blood, so I'll just be looking around for a possible dead unit that the faceplate might work. Let me know if anyone has anything they want to get rid of. If I can afford shipping, I might scoop whatever you got just to get it out of the pile your wife keeps yelling at you about. My wife doesn't mind lol.
