  1. My amplifier keeps getting EXTREMELY HOT and going into protection mode after 30-45 minutes of listening to music. I bought a 4.4 Farad capacitor to help fix the problem but it keeps happening.. Any suggestions? I have a Acura RSX 2003 with 4 Pioneer TS-A1604C 6.5 Speakers, Boss PH4.600 Phantom 2400 Watt Mosfet 4-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier, and a 4.4 Farad Capacitor. I am very sure I installed everything correctly because it sounds very good but after 30-45 minutes It goes into protection mode. Also, I forgot to mention I have a radio JVC KDX50BT which has a integrated parametric. That is why I didn't have to buy a separate one. I don't know if this is of any importance but I am trying to put as many information I can.
  2. So what you are saying is to measure OHMS on; + and - CH 1, + and - CH 2, then + and - in sub (with cables DISCONNECTED FROM AMP) ?
  3. I do have a DMM but I don't know what exactly is what you want me to measure.. Sorry for being a noob but could you please explain? Also, I have tried with 2 different subs and it still happening.
  4. With settings on the head unit you mean the settings on the parametric for bass mid etc?
  5. The amp gets extremely hot? Sounds like a thermal overload. Too much for your amp to handle. 4 speakers and 1 sub too much for a 2400w amp?
  6. I don't know if you can see it but if you turn brightness up you will see it.
  7. Its single coil and the impedance I will try and get the info right now. Also, I will take a picture to the gains and frequency so you can tell me if they are right or not.
  8. What info do you need from the sub? I will try and get it for you right now.
  9. Those speaker wires go to the front where the original speaker wires were when the car had original Audio System. What I did is, I bought a connector to avoid cutting the original wiring, so those wires you are talking about they go to the front and then I matched them to the original (factory) speaker wires.
  10. Right now I don't, but the amp's manual should say right? I have 2 fronts speakers + 2 rear speakers (with tweeters) bridged into 2 channels. Then the sub woofer bridged too. your picture shows other wise I think I explained my self wrong in the beginning. I am sorry for that let me try to give you all the info in this post. What I've done is CH 1 is for both Left speakers (front and back) and CH 2 for right speakers (front and back). Then, bridged CH 3 & 4 for the sub.
  11. CH 1 & 2 bridged for speakers and CH 3&4 bridged for subwoofer

  13. When you say "check the impedance of each channel you have hooked up" what do you mean? I am sorry for being a noob. English not being my first language doesn't help either lol.
