Hold on, so you tuned to 32Hz and have subsonic set to 45Hz?
-
I threw it in, and to my suprise and everyone elses the shirt hung up the right way! Its not that hard as I figured out later, just leave the shirt sat at the end of the mouth portion of the tunnel with the logo facing up, crank up the volume and it floats just fine. I'll be making some more vids next week, changing out my source unit at the moment and 1 of the amps went down so not been touched for a few weeks.

I've quoted you lol. Yes, some cases people have ripped spiders, and thats purely down to incorrectly set subsonic filter. If thats set correctly, within 3-4Hz of tuning freq and your not clipping then go right ahead and turn it up. They begin to sound different every day for a couple of weeks before there nicely broken in.

I'd say it will work fine. Qs have plenty of motor strength behind them to work in that small. Though, QTC will be fairly high (above 1.0) and your roll off will be FAST so the upper end will be little more pronounced. Still, old skool way was to use parameteric EQs to give you back some of the loss in low end. At that point I doubt it'll be a huge issue with 6 of them. Might be worth having them tweaked though knowing the intended small enclosures.

We were distributor for US Amps just around the time of the RE/US Amps merger. We had nothing but failure after failure. I spent best part of $1000 in shipping returning amps for repairs as no one would touch them here. Glad to hear you got hooked up on the new amps!

Quick vids.. tons of setting up to do but its a start of the vid action!
-
More motor strength, lots more umph on the lower end of things. Oh and seen as your doubling power it'll be a step up alright!

Nick and Scott are busy as hell right now. If I speak to them later today I'll let them know. Thanks.
-
Thanks! We'll have it running again shortly.. must say I look fwd to having it running at full force

Find the peak of the vehicle first. Then tune accordingly. Good sized rad on the port should be paramount. As Nick says, built test tweak tune. Repeat those steps a few times till you have dialled it to a 'Tee'
-
OK, thats fine. But I would look into your power supply first.
-
You have 10 cubes after diplacements? I'd look at 15s personally. Smaller you go the less efficient near tuning they will be. And it already seems you don't have a prayer when it comes to the power supply you currently have planned!
-
If that is after displacements... JUST about doable. I would run no less than 13 cubes in an Ideal world.
-
What car is that? I would be looking to run 120-150A at bare min for the RFT40001 with 1 or 2 good batterys, 2 D3100s would be good. Even with the 2 HiFonics amps you have mentioned, 2 good batterys and a 120-150A alt. If your not able to do the above, go with less power.
-
BTLs are rated at 2kw. Sure they have been known to take more daily, but subs are dumb as Nick would say It comes down to your power supply and use of a correctly aligned subsonic filter. Weedy 50A alt with single battery won't cut it, nor will a 35hz tuning with a 25hz subsonic. Subsonic really wants to be within -3Hz from tuning. How much room do you have?

Send me an e-mail - sales(at)bladeice.com Thanks

Where abouts are you based?

That' just about wraps up the fabrication work. Since the pics were taken the alternators are due to be replaced with a new XS Volt series alternator suited to daily applications. Thanks.

Ok.. so you can't make power without power (talk about eat my own words..)
