Hello all. I've been a member of the CA-F for some time. With the new banner at the top I've seen there are other forums out there. So, decided to join a couple, including this one. So far, so good. They layout is very nice.

I briefly tried one of the Hifonics Class D amps a few years ago. I did not like it at all and ended up sending it back. I didn't think it was making advertised power and I certaintly didn't like the sound quality. Its possible they have improved over the last couple of years, I haven't tried any since that time. I'm an old school guy. If I were looking for an amp and I was on a budget, I would probably hit the Bay and try to find a good, old school amp in nice condition. You can usually find some good deals if you are patient and really look. Just my opinion. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
