Dude, listen to the people in this forum they can help you a lot more than you think. I am sorry but it seems like you have very little knowledge about audio. Also, respect others or you may piss off the wrong person and they will break into your house and steal your stuff.

Man, I would have liked to see this set-up at E-town. I had to work so I couldn't make it. Good numbers though.
-
Do you have a lot of volume to work with?

to the back of the box facing the trunk opening.

The Q is more of a musical sub while the BL, probably what you're looking for, is more SPL oriented. Also, the amount of power you give the sub will depend on the box.
-
made some holes for the speaker wires to go straight out the box instead of the port because the amp's connections are on different sides now.

I have been searching around for batteries to put in the rear of my car to as extra batteries to power two us amps md2d amps. I am looking at powermaster, kinetiks, deka, and alpha technologies batteries. So, with each of these companies, there are different types of batteries. some have AGM technology while others have GEL technology. What is the difference? Which is better for car audio purposes? I think with the dekas, there are some GEL and some AGM batteries. I think powermaster is all AGM, right? And alpha technologies has both as well.

Well shizzzon and I just tuned the amp and it was LOUD. It sounded great too on about 30hz bass music with the port plug in. The subs are wired at 4 ohms. My rear deck, roof, and truck false floor was rattling a LOT. I have to keep the floor from flexing so much because it is kind of loud. It interfered with the sound too. I didn't think it can get that loud really. Maybe, I'll take some videos later. My camera probably won't pick up any sub movement though. When shizzzon gets some new probes for his mic then we will see what numbers it can do.

what battery do you have? -
I don't like kicker amps because of their fixed subsonic filter. I never had an interest in MTX stuff. Fi FTW

Wow. Nice fab work on everything. Love the battery idea. I wished I didn't need my spare tire. -

I say do 2 12" Qs or Icons in a ported box. I wouldn't do 2 15"s sealed. Just my 2 cents. -
Will my FI "Q" 12 do better w/different amp?
slim2fattycake replied to jeeper2269's topic in General Fi
Keep the amp if others say that it does what its rated. Ditch it if its way over-rated. What is your box size and tuning if its ported? That would be the first thing I change. You may even be able to turn your current box around facing different directions and it will get louder, maybe. -
sell that amp and get one with a variable subsonic filter. just my opinion. I don't like kicker amps because of this fixed subsonic filter. You don't have much room to play around with box specs.

and the sub woofers displacement also lol and bracing.

what was the 4 12" subs' box tuned to? and why did you go with the push/pull style? Just wondering.
-
Don't forget you have to subtract port volume from the total volume of the box too.
-
that amp is fine. its the subs that have to handle the amp not the other way around. You can under power subs and they will still be okay. why not just go 0 gauge wiring instead of 2 4 gauge wires?

15" FI BTL's Rookie question's..... Help appreciated!&
slim2fattycake replied to dsm2nrs1's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The amount of power you can give those subs changes depending on the size of the box. Also, make sure that these set-ups that you have seen are not just for comps but for musical set-up if thats what you're going for. -
