depending on the design.

sounds about right.

Yeah, I was joking about the kole amp. I wouldn't go with any of those amps.

better battery?

It is cheap but reliable as well. -
keep the back of the sub as far away from the inside port opening as possible is what I go by.

Duralast golds are awesome. I have had 5+ years on some and my current one replaced two optima yellowtops, that failed one week after another a week after I bought them. I have always heard from racing guys that the optima redtops were the only ones to run under the hood from optima but I guess all optimas are bad now. With the duralast golds, you get, I think, 8 year discount and 3 year free replacement from autozone. But XS power batteries and dekas are good too. -

why would it not? because higher than 50 watts power rating makes a woofer, a subwoofer?

Holy shit. It doesn't matter at all. It is all install dependent WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. You have to do tests and change things around. Even if someone had the same car and set-up as you, they will have a slightly different read on the mic. Why would there be competitions and people doing tests for SPL when one of us can just tell you what you will hit with your set-up? There would be no use in testing for competitions. Build it and then meter it and you will see.

I gotta tighten that alternator belt and I should get a higher score after that too. New design box will help as well. PS - I am kinda tipsy right now. Just got home from a bday party.

I told them to cut outside of the line they mark on the wood so I can get a more accurate cut but no they go and cut in the middle of the line on some and right next to the line other times. I wish I had their cutting machine.

Well, it sounds like you know what you want and sound quality is how you perceive it so it would only sound good when you think it does. Well at least until you go to competitions or have someone else listen to your car.

wow.

Fuck if we know. How many times are you going to ask the question that cannot be given an answer without physically testing shit in "YOUR" car. Actually, go to radioshack and buy an SPL meter (about 30 bucks) and test your set-up and you will know yourself. and take a picture of the sides of your amp and we will tell you where the gain knob is. I really don't see how you can have any sound out of your subs if you cannot turn the gain up.

Check this out for sound deadening: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/products/vel Talk to Don and he will step you through everything and explain to you how to achieve what you want. Check out Knukonceptz for your wiring needs:: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?Category=Amp%20Installation%20Kits Their prices are very good and the quality of their products are great as well. Also, I don't think you would need 2 gauge wires either for what you want out of your set-up. You don't sound like you're bass hungry so 2 gauge seems like over-kill for your purpose. Knukonceptz's wires have a higher strand count so they are a bigger size rate than some other companies. Their 4 gauge is actually as big as 3 gauge.

Dude, don't hesitate on putting 1000 watts to the SSD. I have two 10" SSDs with bp and copper coils and about 1000 watts to each daily. They take the power like champs, never got hot at all in 2-3 hours of testing. I am about to put 1500+ watts to each soon after I install my high output alternator. I will have to do some testings to see how long they last. I also have the box built to the highest recommended size. I think they can handle more power if I make the volume a little less. I think you may want to upgrade that kinetiks battery though. Its a little small for the 2000d. Also, the big 3 will help you some. And if you want loud then get flatwind coils instead of copper. I bought mine used so the owner had copper coil options for sound quality.

Why tuned so high? Hows the low end extension? I got a 10" that I will be building a box for in the girlfriend's car. I am still deciding on which tuning for her though.

Im going bitches. lol. First event ever for me. -
lol. If I was them I wouldn't demo stuff for you either. I do work so that you can decide on which product to buy from someone else? Also, when was the last time 2 gauge wire was inquired about even on forums? lol. It was probably cheaper for them to get 0 gauge then 2 gauge so thats why they told you that.

What is the hybrid version? I just got my DC Power Alt in but not installed yet. I got the new XP version of the 240 amp for my car. Its going to be using a stock pulley Cant wait to test this baby out. -
All I can say is build a bigger box with that power and have a lot of port area.
