So.... What do you guys think?
slim2fattycake replied to zerosktr111's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Don't waste money on toast to get new subs. Get the right subs so you don't waste money. That sounds too redundant. lol. -
O, if you're scared about factoring. lol. This is all you will be doing in engineering math.
-
yup. i am mechanical right now.
-
lol. i knew that. no magical dust?

I wished I had a good memory. I killed every math class I have ever had until numerical methods. I forgot everything in all my calculus classes that I aced. Numerical is the first math class I have had a final grade less than a B+.

be ready for a shit load of math if your thinking engineering

Tell me your trunk secrets with the 10! I am running 2 10s in a trunk as well.

hifonics BXi 2610d or BXI 2010d

If you like the warranty then go with AQ or Sundown. If you want something good for the money then Audiopipe AP3000 is the way to go. You can power all 4 subs at 2 ohms with one of these amps. I have never had a problem with my amp so I cannot give input on their warranty. I got my amp for 320 shipped with 1 year warranty. This is way way less than the hifonics bxi you're looking at. Also, this amp puts out the rated power. Also, have you upgraded your electrical system for this amount of power? You're going to mess up some amps if you don't have the current to back them up. -

600 watts is not worth it. What ohm load do you need your 2000 or whatever you want at? -
tejcurrent - have you metered it with just the 2 18s on 10kwatts? Also, is it in the same airspace and same tuning? I'd like to know which would do better, more airspace for the subs vs more cone area.

I'm going to loosen mine just to be sure. -
I wouldn't say its not enough power but I wouldn't say its too much either.
-
damnit, I hate you. I want some so bad. Those prices are ridiculous.

Chops first official box design?

Use the formula and then subtract 2. You would get a shorter REAL length but ACOUSTICALLY, your sub will see a longer port. In this case longer by 2. -
Best Amp For . .
slim2fattycake replied to loveeemachine's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
get the 1209 or an Audiopipe ap1500d which is 150 shipped on ebay. I just got one for the girlfriend. I will say that the SSDs will take much more than 800 watts. I have had the 1206 and the 1606 on a 12" ssd. -

Which would be louder in your opinion?
slim2fattycake replied to mwoehr's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Dcons shouldn't be of bad quality to overlook. I'd go 4 dcons too if space isn't an issue. -
lol. I understood the 2nd part. The first part was still making me cringe when I tried to reread it.

reading your post hurts my head, rattlebox. Welcome yeabuddy!

Well, I did the carpet because the girl would like it to be more clean and integrated into the trunk surrounding for a more OEM look. I will try to install it today with the free 3 hours between my afternoon classes.

Don't deny it.. you liked it.

damn, me and shizzzon was just talking about that amp earlier tonight and we talked about high powered alternators with that much power at idle too. Which dc power alt line are you getting? 350 at idle? shit. What does it do at 2k rpm? I wished I had a bigger engine. lol. subscribing.
