mechman and dc power alt > OG -
i don't think that two different wood types were used was the problem.

Um, you can have 1 10" and get huge flex, but its not going to happen in this case though because I doubt you have the power or the knowledge to mess up something other than the rearview mirror... and possibly a sub, and amp. j/k

what do you mean by doesn't sound good? a fart sometimes sounds good to the right audience. Give more info too.

what was this crappy sound you were hearing from your subs? Have you tried tuning your box lower with your current subs? And with 2000-3000 watts, sound quality is out the window.

Yes.

Wait, are the two boxes connected or are they separate because I see huge gaps at the intersection. -
I have been debating on buying that viot true rms meter or not. Its price is great and the specs on what it does are great too but I haven't found any reviews on it. I can only see that the seller's feedback is awesome. When I get spare money, I'll buy it to try it out against a fluke.

Wiring Questions
slim2fattycake replied to jcarter1885's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I have used kicker hyperflex 4gauge and 1/0, I have only used knu 4gauge and smaller and I am using 1/0 welding cables now. Flexibility isn't that big of a difference between the kicker hyperflex and the welding cable. The welding cable holds form better while the hyperflex almost feels like wet noodles. The Knu 4 gauge was a lot more stout than the kicker hyperflex 4 gauge. The welding cable was about the same as the kicker 1/0 but strands were bigger in the welding cable. If you are losing voltage or are pulling alot of amperage through your wires then I'd upgrade. I don't think you need 2/0 though. On the knu wires, I think their prices have gone up because of the newer wires. I think welding cables are the best bang for the buck wires you can get. -

Really? Below 30hz? Let's see - Fi SSD, Fi Q, Mach5 iXL, Soundsplinter RL-p, Soundsplinter RL-s, SSA Icon, Dcons too but they don't handle 1000 watts or at least I don't think so, and the Sundown SA subs.

~3000W Class A/B or high dampening factor
slim2fattycake replied to agithegreat's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Explain more on the noise you are not liking. You do know setting have to be changed from competition to daily listening right? I compete and theres no way I listen to my system with the same settings. It sounds like complete ass. Also, is it the box or the sub thats actually making the noise? And why does your sub need to be reconed? And if you're looking at those amps, I'd look more at the sundowns, better pricing. -

We are trying to help you find the problem without costing you money first. We also don't want to suggest you something and then you come back and say that it didn't help because it wasn't the problem in the first place. Are you saying that you are getting port noise? What is your box's specs? And I don't understand what you are trying to say right here " I just want how do i say to not kick up a fuss? A different sound???". Can you be a little bit more clear? -
Man,I bet shes embarrassed now. But yeah, HAPPPPPPY BIRTTTHHHDAY! Gettin' drunk tonight ... O nvm she's not 21 yet.

Masterofallbass's Build w/ XXV Maxxmus
slim2fattycake replied to masterofallbass's topic in Build Logs
I'd be more protective of those wires too. At a recent competition, someone's interior almost caught on fire because something was wrong with the wire outside the car. But good build and damn those amps are big. -

its 60% of the time all the time that the box is the problem.
