alternator
slim2fattycake replied to steveo50's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
its funny because shizzzon's mechman alternator shitted on him. Sorry Sean. My girlfriend's DC Power alt is the lower SP line and at idle (~700rpm) it sits at 15 volts while with headlights, heater, and system (1500 watts) on blast only drops to 14.8 volts still at idle. -

Dude, you're not supposed to tell. I'm telling Rob. -
Port velocity changes with box size, tuning, and input power. And port area but that's part of the port design.

based on enclosure, woofer, and power going to the sub too.

check out all the positives in this thread. -
subtract 1/2 of port width if your using the walls as part of the port and that would be the right physical length.

great build. I really like the window brace. I want to do window braces all the time but am too lazy lol. Also, did I see an alternator in the right side of the wall?

Something made overseas doesn't mean its crap. Its whichever company that owns the products that is in control of the quality. People need to get their heads outta their asses. Times are different now. -

did you say 10" BL? hehe. I may have to think about that. And Vial, building a sub box is a lot easier than building a gaming computer. -

Maybe you need to get someone else to do your box designs. I have never had a bad response with my ported boxes compared to my sealed ones.

slim2fattycake replied to solo76's topic in General Audio
150 watts is not going to be noticeable especially when you don't have the kicker amp and want to buy it for more money. Also, a fixed subsonic filter sucks. You should recheck your box specs or change directions on the subs or port opening.
