12V Tractor Battery For Car Audio Use?
slim2fattycake replied to Kent535's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
This is the best price Ive been able to find online. It is for Dekas but arent we still talking about budget batteries? deka 9a31 Does anyone know of a cheaper online source? Sorry for the thread jacking. remy battery Deka Intimidator 9A31 Battery I tried that one too. It works out to be about $10.50 more than Tri State with shipping. I was hoping it wasnt. I like to get down to the nitty gritty on the price. Any others? lol its 5 dollars cheaper for me, probably because their located in WI. You can see if you have a carquest near you, I believe they sell rebadged Dekas. I tried carquest too but in my area its almost the same as dekas' prices. BUT I had a source to get two dekas for 170. -

I doubt it. I hope I still have enough MDF lol. I am just going to have to wing it. My box is gonna suck. But its whatever, I hope we get a foot of snow so I don't have to go in to work -
or should... To me, if you can then you can. Its all up to him. Op, that may be a better choice for you anyways.

Actually the 10s have copper coils but I have used 12s with aluminum coils. If you know what you're doing then they will take 3k daily. A lot of the handling with be in the box. The SSDs have 3" voice coils so thermally they will take it. Subsonic filter and box tuning will help with mechanical limits. All the other choices are great too especially if you don't know what you're doing to run the SSDs on 1.5k watts each. But I never asked what amp you got or if you even have the amp yet.

If anyone that is going to Carl Casper, that wants a d5100 with iterminals, I will have one for sale there. 120 for brand new terminals (with stock allen screws too) included with the XS Power D5100 battery. -
Is this a good trade?
slim2fattycake replied to ShagggDiesel's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You better keep that memphis amp. -

If you're getting noise then maybe the conectors on your RCA may be problems or tears or rips in the RCA but buying expensive RCAs will do nothing for sound quality or performance. -
For some reason, I thought this differential equations class was hard at first but then it got really easy after a week or two. I had more trouble with calculus 2 out of calculus 1,2,3, differential equations, & numerical methods.

what do you mean by that? There is nothing special about them, they will create sound. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not even for a paperweight. Don't listen to this crap. He's bias. I have heard single and dual set-ups for daily and competition set-ups and they are great. Subs are like food. Its mostly about preferences.

Call Rob and tell him Phi sent you and he will tell you that he does have an alternator for your car. Their site is not uptodate. Plus, don't think that the payment plan is for everyone. Ask first. Don't take my word on it because I don't want people to say that "well I want to pay in payments" kinda deal because I was able to pay in payments. Different circumstances and different people. Rob will be the deciding factor. I tried talking to Rob about setting up a vendor spot over here on SSA but he didn't say anything about it yet.

I dont know about 4,000 engine rpms, hehe. Most alts like to reach max output on engine between 1800-2600rpm. Anyone who makes an alt that doesn't peak on someone's vehicle til 4000rpm... or hell even at 3000rpm without the use of an underdrive pulley is 100% full of crap and should remove their company out of the alt business. DC Power's customer support is unlike any other. Who would publicly give out their personal cell phone number to the world to ensure that when a potential customer has any questions, they can call when they are not open? Who ships 2day air for free even if has to be paid twice for item mismatch? Who literally gives away free services and upgraded alts for free when 1 thing is missing\damaged? Who fabricates custom brackets specifically for your car even if the bracket on your car broke and was your fault? Who ships out replacement alts and lets you receive it WEEKS before sending back the wrong alt? Who lets you make steady payments on an alt if you dont have the money up front? Who talks the talks and walks the walk when proving idle output? Who is concerned about their company's impression to the world so much that they will do ANYTHING to make it right for a customer regardless what it costs? Who is this company? DC Power Engineering I see what you did there.

I would go with XS or Deka instead of optima for car audio. -
