with 3k already, you'll be lucky to get .5dB with 500 watts extra.

500 watts will get you 2-3 dB?

WHO WOULD WIN? SSA XCON 18" VS FI BTL 18" VS digital designs D

What were the songs that you liked so much and why do you think your BL didn't sound good with those song? Be specific. What settings on your amp? -

Thank you. Really tired of people recommending xcons for all goals. lol. OP, you probably are making up the fact that the BL doesn't have clarity. All I see from your posts is that you want loud. People really don't understand what sound quality is.- 42 replies

I never liked BBP6. You can use cutlist to do your cut sheets. I use winISD with pen and paper all the time.

this is stupid... -
Get the "Shop" that you are paying to do it. It's not that hard to measure your space and find the height, width, and depth of the box for the right volume and tuning. Were you trying to ask Fi or forum goers to give you a design? The SSA store sells designs if you want to buy one.
-
pwk designs boxes...he doesn't build them. it doesnt take much for somebody to completely fuck a box. Lol. If you can't do 150s with 8 15 on 5k then you gotta be retarded.
-
I wouldn't say all that.

Happy birthday!
-
2 10s ported is fine in that space
-
Its not what they are designed for so no don't run a BL sealed. Just go with either a single Q and seal up the other sub hole or run two SSDs. Add some filler to get more effective volume.
-
If that box has only 1.7 cuft total then thats really small for two 12s. You have to take into account for the the sub's displacements as well. You would barely have enough space for the recommended sealed enclosure for the SSDs. I would add filling to get more effective volume. I wouldn't stray against Fi's recommendations much... The box is great for cosmetics but that price tag is retarded. And why would you need to run another sub in the center console with two in the rear already? I mean, its your vehicle so you can do what you want with it but I would seal up one of the sub holes for that box and run a single 12" Q.

SSDs. Don't spend more money than you have to. You won't be disappointed if you put it in the right box.

Why pay for more with stinger brand then? -
Mostly rap means more output to me than sound quality. You probably just want an undistorted sound.
-
Don't think that the Q cannot give you good output with sound quality. I have worked with the BTL, BL, Q, and SSDs. However, I really cannot say how each stacks up against the havoc as I haven't used a havoc yet. But the Q is a great driver for sound quality. You can get really good outputs as well. I remember someone did 150s when he tested a Fi Q either 10 or 12 in his truck. It will have a lot to do with your enclosure. How much power are you going to use and are you sure you want sound quality? Musical tastes? Also, I probably shouldn't comment on other manufacturers subs as this is a AA forum section. I only said things about Fi because they are owned by the same company.

Check out Knukonceptz or welding cables. -
You could always ask for help in the forums on choosing an Fi driver that will be close to what you were looking for in an AA driver and for your goals. Damn lol. I posted a little late.
-
Shit, if you're just comparing to the CVRs, then the SSDs will still do the job better if paired with a right enclosure.
-
Wait what? lol. What company made your alt? You may want to ask for a refund. 1200 rpm isn't idle either. If you drop below your batteries voltage and down to 11v then your battery is more than half way depleted and your alt is maxed out if it cannot keep voltages up. My girlfriend's 240 amp DC Power alt output ~140 amps at idle, 700-800 rpm, and sits at 14.8 volts hot with stereo on blast (1500 watts) , all lights on, and AC full blast.

Battery Question
slim2fattycake replied to FiQZetecS's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I think that is resting too low. I have no experience with the recondition mode on your charger so I don't know. Contact a dealer or google the manual. -
I'll agree to that. I'll never buy another yellowtop again, even if I could get 2 for the price of one of my dekas. Which is impossible by the way.

Shit, you're good. You may even get me to buy a sundown amp.... Not really. I'm broke. -
I think the only way to install anything that won't void portions of the car warranty is to have the dealer install it. Because once you do something aftermarket, even if its by a audio shop, you're liable to have your warranty stripped. It probably won't be brought up until you need warranty work done and they can say that something you did "aftermarket" to the car made the problem happen. BUT if you get the dealer to install it, then they cannot say shit as they did the work and approved it. However, I doubt dealers install car audio. Just DIY it. You have forums to help you. At least one of us has your car or has done something you are about to do.
