Well, you have to ground the battery somewhere right? You can just ground the battery to the strut tower and then ground your amp off the battery. Whichever uses the smallest length of wire. Yeah, really get a DMM and check the point where you wanna ground. The least resistance is best.

Those options won't make it "sound" any different. coil configuration is for the amp you want to use. Get dual 2 ohms for a 1 ohm load to the amp for 1000 watts. Get daily option as you don't want to just do SPL. Read up on what the others mean on fi's tech.
