Slamology.....Central Indiana
slim2fattycake replied to porkchop's topic in Competitions & Other Organized SPL/SQ Events
I got half the build done. Too lazy to finish. I am starting the home theater set-up though. 11 cuft tuned to 17hz. Yeah.... -

A noob calling other people noob. Now that's funny. Adding another 12" port is going to raise the tuning through the roof and lowering the box size would also raise tuning. Think about where Sean's port is now and if he's at 35hz tuning, where the hell would the port be if its at 23hz tuning? And I bet your peak at 23hz is no where near as high as your peak at 40hz. -

You kidding right? Haha. Good luck on tuning a 12" concrete form to 23hz and then getting a 150 outta that car. And good luck on getting 10 cuft net to get your port length to be near 4 ft. -

Great scores everyone. Sorry, I couldn't make it. I had to work. -
You mean korea, jon? lol.

You said this is happening even with the gain on low? Is the sub moving far at all when you hear the crackle or whatever? And whoever told you that was the problem is a retard. Don't listen to whatever they have to say again.
-
Dude, subs don't clip. Describe the noise.

Which of these is the best subwoofer?
slim2fattycake replied to scottrod's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
You don't care about prices and your sub choices are those? lol. For real, give us a real budget. -
Your maximum dimensions you gave are right at 4 cuft. You would have to subtract bracing volume and sub volume if you use external port. I'd say no on that 15".

x2 on the GTI. And boo, no love for honda... Ever thought about the Honda S2000? Check out subaru wrx or even the STI All wheel drive madness.

WTF? How is it fine if its not enough? I say build a new box and do some testing on your system. Aeroports will help reduce the needed gross size of the box if you do decide to go with two subs in that area. And what amp do you actually have? Also, what are you reallying wanting? More lows or more output on the top end?

The Official SPL-Labs SPL Meter Group Buy Thread
slim2fattycake replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
People backed out and don't even try to tell us or answer pms or emails. Its just straight up weak. But whatever. -
No reason why?
-
Sure will. I just posted it on hometheatershack with a lot more detail. I'll copy and paste onto homeaudioforum.

I'll have the sub in 11 cuft net tuned to 17hz with a behringer ep1500 lowpassed at 35hz. I'll also have a 18" mach5 IXL in 5.5 cuft net tuned to 35hz on about the same power for music. The Avalanche box will have 1 6" aeroport and the IXL box will have 3 4" round ports.

lol. that motor is easy to tell.

how loud and clear is the 12 inch fi bl
slim2fattycake replied to Branden2202's topic in Fi Products
I am the all knowing phi... Your set-up will sound decently loud. You will annoy the fuck outta people around you and you will end up frying your equipment. But all isn't lost because someone will then steal all of your car audio equipment and you won't have to worry about fried equipment anymore. Thank you. come again.
