I take it back. You will have to help me finish my truck! then you can have it.

Eh I can shrug one on strapps. I would say closer to 350 or so... I'm not sure. They are really heavy though. If you made the drive in the next week or so I would give it to you. I could know it went somewhere someone will care. It's a gorgeous table. Wood work is awesome. The only problem is a few MM in spread at the legs miter joints.

I feel ya man. Seems like its always something. I do not have the easy to access hole in the firewall like M5 does and I own the same year truck both EC and both z71. I don't even have a drill bit big enough for the 1/0 so I'm going to have to get a unibit, and I am considering running the Power wire under the truck because its damn dear impossible to get a drill bit in a descent spot on the firewall. On a good note though, box is on the way and seat lift is on the way! Still need an Icon... Sean, is your truck LT? I would go under the truck.... I'm almost thinking about it and I CAN go through the firewall. I think the 1/0 will look sloppy under the carpet.

Anything else to do b4 install

ha sounds good. I get a verry verry slight dimming when parked and I roll up the windows in the truck. Verry slight, but I'm such a nit picking perfectionist. I really need to change the factory ground on the batt to a 0 gauge, the one in there is smaller than the power. Silly ford. Thanks for the confirmation though. -

My 97 EB expedition has 4 gauge wire comming to and from the battery. Double that on the power. I am going to replace the ground wire on the bat with 1/0, but the power side is all so beefy I'm not really sure I need to. My deck has a volt meter built in, and I have been playing with it, and wanted to know if you guys think I may need to upgrade the electrical. I have not installed any amps yet and really just want to get a feel for if you think anything else should be upgraded. When idle I sit at about 13.8 V. I don't know how much drop I should expect, but if I open and close all 4 windows at the same time I drop a few tenths of a volt. When I turn on the lights I probably loose about .05 volts as it will fluctuate from 13.8 to 13.7. One odd thing is if I roll the volume on the deck up to max I loose a few tenths of a volt, but then it will come back and sit around 13.7 or so. I NEVER listen to it close to that loud, but just wanted to test everything. Just want to know if this sounds normal. If I rev the engine up I notice less drop, and if I am driving there seems to be even less. I had the alt checked when I purchased the truck last year, as general precaution, and they said it was right about where it should be and it looks verry new. I plan on installing a saz 1500 and then a 4 chan later. I really want to avoid the whole headlight dimming, and don't want to hurt any equipment. Does any of this spark a concern? Thanks -
Cheep ass top.

especialy without windows too. If I did both I think I would be out 20-30k or so. sure I would save 20% in heating and cooling, but even if heat and cooling was 300 a month every month, I wouldn't make that back in a loooooong time.

If my 4 chan works... 65 per chan. the saz could probably go to 1600ish or so from what I heard but I will probably never come close to that. honestly, I will probably have the gains set to the bottom, or close too for 90% of the time. I want to scope it but I don't have the tools. I'm all about SQ, but it will be fun to go back home over N mpls, and show some of the local kids what you can do if you build smart and don't waste money on other things. I like hip hop and some found sound with tons of bass and other such (ie NIN and postal service etc.), but I hate it when the subs are overpowering the front stage. I definately don't want it to make noice outside of the truck much with the windows up. I will really like the overhead in amp power for hip hop and electronic music. -
I'm really really pissed with my sub install. It's such a damn headache to run the wire to the trunk. The center console have 10+ bolts holding it down. And to take off the seats as I had planned will require another special tool on top of the HUGE torques bit I just got. I want to deaden the floor, and really the firewall but this is retarded. Really really retarded. I'm verry frustrated with this install... it's almost taking the fun out of it... almost. I just need to block off 2 days, but with winter racing to us I have too many outside chores to doo like the invasive bush that has completely split and grown through my 2nd pond, reseal/cement the small pond, and decide if I want to paint, or side the house. I really don't want to drop 10K on siding right now.

Sounds about right ... But, d*mn, I'd hate to be putting $2000/month into my mortgage ... You'd really hate mine then, I'd frickin' love it if it were only $2k and I put nearly 40% down now THAT is baller

someone with a stone router could cut the holes no problem I supose, but I'm not interested in putting money out for that.
-
It's billiards too.. not pool. =/ rawr I would hate to waste it. If it was a pool table the brunswik I saw online for 5,000 bucks, as it's over 100 years old. But as a billiards/snooker table, no one wants.
-
Having fun in asai? Sean do you know anyone who might want some billiards tables? Both are beautiful solid wood. One is antique brunswick. 1.5 inch slate. That one is sexy, if I didn't have an HT I would keep it. If I dont' find a home for these 2 tables The slate will end up in my shop and counter or in my yard broken up as flagstone....

sure but all of the cars come with a negotiable price. My point is that unless you like one car way more, or it does something that the others won't utility wise, it's going to be the highest priced of them all.

Sounds about right ...

happy burfday today! have some booze for me.

I don't agree with either of those statements.
-
WOW that is a chunk of change for those struts my friend. Passive sounds good! lol
-
Those are both viable (and much cooler than my truck) options, but when I pull out the magnifying glass I see this... I honestly think that 25K is too much but I agree that is appealing to not have to fill up as often, but if you kept the change and got the crosfire, you would be able to save 10k plus interest. The only strong point between your top contenders is MPG. I don't think the difference in mileage will cover the difference in how much you will pay in payments/interest.

good morning HOP!

I didn't think about G35 either. Just to drive captain canada's point home harder. I was thinking the same about the crossfire, it was a preforgone conclusion. check this out WOW factor. I am not suggesting you buy this, but it's under warranty still. It will definately make you smile to hit the gas. It has High miles, but it also has all the paper work for tune ups etc, and at 7k less than your nissan you can cover most any repair cost. Keep your options open, and yes, drive everything you are interested in. I never would have purchased an SUV EVER. I hated them. Then I got into my expedition, and now I commute with it. ( I have a MUCH shorter commute than you)
-
I am huge and I think the crossfire is not an atractive car from a distance, I never walked up to one. You're a smaller guy, I would recomend the crossfire. My rational is this, if you liked being in it, it was quick enough for you, and the ride was good enough, it's the cheepest of the bunch. You only get groceries. I would LOVE a 2 seater actualy. Then I could tell free loaders "no room" unless they are a real cute brunette that wants to sit on my wifes lap. Pluss it shares a heritage with MB. It's an older platform, but really who gives a dang? Unless someone can chime in and say they are horrible in reliability, or cost a mint to fix, I say go for it. And I agree 6 speed is great. I alomst completely discard fun cars if they don't have a manual. =) A TC new is like throwing money away, unless you really like the car. The VW is a GREAT option, but me and my friends have had 5-6 VW's between us all, and though they were great fun to drive and they are laid out nice, they have ALL had electrical issues, and it's insane what it costs to get it fixed. I got good deals with a local mechanic, but I would say with all the longer term reliability issues, I wouldn't spend more for it than I would for anything else. The nissan. It costs too much. for 25 K you could find anything. You could have something amazing! Benz e55 AMG with under 50k miles. An older porsche... 25 k is too much for a car that isn't awesome. I know NOTHING about mazda save that they use the wankel.
