I want to go home. I get to go meat shopping tonight!

That's just it though Jim, it should go hand in hand, but it's not addressed when I see people put it to large scale. It was an uber system, it can be done for less. But that's the trend. Off the grid would be great, but it's not in store for a while for me.

Bullshit. That reminds me of a story the school's paper ran a few days ago, where they confused ethanol with biodiesel...we have how many chemical engineers on campus, and you can't get that right? I tend to agree with most of that article. I think raising crops of any kind for any kind of fuel is the wrong idea. Most of the world is already starting to starve for water, and the use of extra crops will just lead to more irrigation and faster depletion of the water sources. and I don't think wind is the answer either, as that depends on a variable input. I've always liked nuclear and solar power, although I knew solar was fairly inefficient. But if everybody would cover their roofs with solar panels I think that's enough to power the house. It's just normally cost prohibitive. Hydro is iffy. There are only so many places that we can put a dam. But doesn't the Hoover dam power all of Las Vegas plus some? That's quite a drain and that dam does a good job at that. From what I've heard, solar is still ridiculously expensive. I was talking to some people whose neighbor looked into covering his roof.... $80,000 supposedly sounds... in the realm. I was looking at that or wind. To buy a wind set up it was 50K for one tower. I think we need to concentrait on making our buildings much more insulated, and efficient, not find a new way to make more juice.

I went outside and walked past my 50% completed Q 18 box. It's effing huge. I need to double the walls finish up and call it done. I'm a bit afraid of how loud it will be actualy... lol

I was actually just joking adrian.... But yes, I do at times know some people who are like that. I am also the type who never... ever calls people. EVAR. But when I have a project I do, and ask for help, there in lies the rub though. I am always the first person to jump in and help when someone calls me, so I guess I never feel bad about asking.

I tried... they all have some family member that needs a kidney or somethign that their wife is dragging them to. They all really wish they could help, but you know how it goes. That's why I have a room mate. He helps pay the MTG and good labor.

I would say ford is a bit less popular the further south you go. Here in MN almost every truck is a ford. Lost of mustangs, not so many vettes if we're talking flagship fast cars. Just from what I have seen. Half the family up here all own expeditions mercury SUVs or the Sable, etc. More souther half all own GMC/chev. A bit interesting... but I would say in my experience completely generalized based on no facts(uless you count economic stability) and verry influenced by my ford.... ford>GM

upgrading the whole basement HT. hooray!
-
ford is the most stable company. Their products... As Jim said, get the job done. I have had more issues with GM and Chev, and they have cost more to fix when that time comes. There are some nice vehicles from both GM/chev brand.

well...... I would say you are looking for SPL. your LSQ term doesn't really line up with what you described, but I could be wrong and you just want 2000 watts of overhead. You're best bet to get some components that will not sound like trash is to skip the whole component issue, and go for an active system. If you don't have a HU yet, or if you have one you need to replace, get one that will run 2 way active.

rough week it sounds like. I'm going to tear it down as gentle as possible but eventualy it will be canabilized. Maybe make a nice kitchen table. If I trimmed in some of the spots and put a huge oak top on it I could probably sell that for a few grand =/

I really have to destroy those tables.... I don't have a storage area though... =/ 750 dollat 1.5 inch patio stones here I come!
