Amp recommendation for aura transducers (bass shakers)

once you got with a PJ you won't go back. I have been on that tip for about 7 years. One of the best purchases I have ever made. It's an adiction though. If you think mobile audio can get expencive, wait untill you get into home audio and HT. Yikes!

    Building a Subwoofer

Oh, Ok. Ya I knew what that stood for then If I get this sub, could I make a new box, and hook my 8 ohm amp from my Yamaha sub up to it, if I can wire the sub to run at 8 ohm? Thanks Do NOT run it to the receiver. The Shiva is a really good choice for your situation, it has a verry low Fs for being a 12" driver and should be PLENTY loud for your needs. I would again suggest a pro audio amp.

note getting a new complete light housing is the proper way to go. the pop and play method, most of the time blinds other drivers, because the light is not focused correctly I'm working on getting some more proper housings. But for now I ride with the dims on, which are still Halogen. It's strange but I love it!! The one bulb "base" has the HID and a Halogen on it. The Halogen is till brighter then my old ones but are focused fine. Sort of defeats the purpose then now doesn't it. If you spent that money to "look cool" I really don't get it. I would say high beams for off road use only then, but, then why not just get off road lights?

    Welcome to the IHoP

I must be weird then. I always say millimeter instead of em em i think you completely missed the point of my post, a 9mm is not a gun, it's a measurement to be specific, but i'd be way more ok with it being used to reference a bullet or cartridge(9x19 luger, parabellum, nato, etc) just like a "fiteen" is not a subwoofer, its the diameter of the sub. and that someone who refers to their gun by their bullet is not a gun person. just like ryan2 was saying, the whole damn point of concealed carrying is so that people don't know you carry. I personally would never carry if people knew i was. Interesting. I walk around asuming everyone I see is carying. Helps to gauge what may and may not be worth it. No offence to your friend, when the guy was bragging about his gun, or maybe imaginary gun... do you think he felt your lady friend wouldn't understand if he told her a type of gun. I only know one woman who knows when I tell her to go get me the 1911. I married her and trained her well.

    Welcome to the IHoP

LOL, what a tool. If I'm carrying, I'm sure as fuck don't tell a single damn person about it. Some people know that I carry, the woman and a couple of friends are about it, but no one knows when/if I am actually carrying though. My view on it is that its a concealed carry gun, if it has to be drawn, it has already been decided what exactly is going to happen. Other than that, I sincerely hope no one ever knows when/that I carry.

How about cement Cement is more expensive than Granite. I myself will be doing Granite tiles with a stainless tile back splash. another good point. Cement is not cheep!

    Welcome to the IHoP

How about cement Nope. I was just in a horrible mood yesterday. They put a hold on 2 slabs of the 2 types we loved at a different location. Should be good. I think the house remodel, and no kitchen, combined with all the stuff for the wedding is finally getting to me. We had suprise company over last night, so I ran through the house cleaning and straightening up the best one can do without any cabinets, and with appliance boxes and such can do. I felt so much better just looking at a clean vacuumed carpet, and no mail on the coffee table. It was refreshing.

Do you think that two Shiva-x's would be too much for my room, with a O Audio 500 watt amp, or something similar? I think what I am going to do, is get the Dayton SA240 240 watt amp with the Shiva-x sub, then ask for the O Audio amp for Christmas, and maybe another Shiva-x, if one isn't quite good enough, which I hope one will be. Thanks As rush said, you are WAY out of your price range at that point realisticaly. If you have more money let us know. Is there a reason you want more than one sub? If you have a valid point we can change it up and work with that too. In your situation, it would probably just make things much more complex, and end up being less logical. We want to help you, but you're changing the rules. It's easy to get excited, and shoot for the stars and go up and up and up but eventualy you run out of cash. Why don't you tell us what the absolute max for budget is. Let us know if that includes the box or just the woofer and electronics.

I know Sean. I'm just a "best deal" kind of guy. And this kitchen is going past the mark I said I wanted too. I also never though about how much counter space I am really going to end up with. When we knocked down the pantry and old staircase walls, we didn't think it we would take all of it back and more with countertop! But to have some form of eat in kitchen is a much, as we don't have a dining room.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I was really expecting to be between 4200-5000. If I take the granite that I'm not that big of a fan of, it would be about 400..... Perfection worth 1500 bucks? Tough call.

    Welcome to the IHoP

same thing when I went car shopping Sean. Good deals out there, just no negotiation. That's a bassakwards way to run a biz. 6k for the slabs we like, an undermount sink cut out and the sink itself or a faucet, 70 sq feet installed. 10 year warranty(what ever that means) and they are across the street almost so I can throttle someone if they mess with me

The Shiva will work better for HT. Period. When looking for HT needs, I would never use less than a 15 really. Unless you have a really good handle on what your doing, or plan on buying several subs. What makes you interested in the IXL? Great sub, but now what you want to look for I think. I wouldn't look at anything else from DIY cable but the Shiva unless you want to up your budget a good deal.

Amp recommendation for aura transducers (bass shakers)

FIxed! The bass shakers do help actually. Less expencive too. I will also say, they can do quite a bit for video games to add a little "impact".
