Pretty bad when that happens, and it seems to happen a lot. Glad I don't have a manager anymore I have a micro-manager. Also known as a Lieutenant I wouldn't mind that if they were competiant. I answer to 4-5 managers/supervisors. WTF??? get the memo about the TPS reports? EXACTLY!

They'd like to, in my previous job I set them up with acoustic testing gear and considering they make mufflers and intake filters it is rather pertinent to their business. Did you work on their quiet room for mufflers!?? That was one amazing set up. I got a mini tour.

Pretty bad when that happens, and it seems to happen a lot. Glad I don't have a manager anymore I'm so tired of my job. I'm briliant but I made a bad choice and didn't go to school. Ruined everything. Now I have to listen to complete idiots who have something on paper, but also have a mental disability. My good budy works at Donaldsons, did you see that write up in the star trib? I guess he actually got a patent or 2. I should be doing that. Not being a CSR. i don't care how good I am at selling or defusing mad people. I need more from a job and more $$$

think engines 50 years ago. If your working on a v8, and you expect to have better results by extending the length of the exhaust, I am all for trying it. Someone else probably has though. I would describe that as refinement a given variable. Not that you can't refine a heck of allot. Look at v8's and the power they produced then compaired to now. Even with DI engines it's still the same basic paramaters. If I went all crazy and on an espresso bender invented the wankle engine, I would call that an inovation or progress. It's a paradigm shift. I am even stretching that really IMO because it's still combustion. It's unknown teritory though, and will requre refinement before it can be truly usefull.

I agree Adrian, my point was more that it has been tried by those with much more funding already. If it was a truely 'new' design I would say that inovation would be a part of it, but we will never do anything truely 'new' with MDF and a driver that someone else hasn't. Just bigger, stronger, etc and again, every aplication is different. That was the catalyst of my point. When working on a design it is best to start with something simple, then modify. Making something that requires a large up front investment(money or time) and then adjusting that will be a larger headache. The more complex the original design, more variables and much more diffocult to refine and measure.

    Welcome to the IHoP

I really need to finish my house projects, clean up the rental, and then really sink my teeth into my buisness and scooping up another property. I get so mad that I have to sleep and eat right now. Even doing the things I love piss me off because I could be doing something that could better my position right now. And forget alllll about wedding crap and trying to loose a few lbs. I have NEVER been this busy in my whole life, and it's starting to manifest in my health. I have some cold/throat crap in my lungs all wheesy and coughing. I would take a vacation, but I need to save it so I can have time off for the wedding. And I'm not even going on a honey moon! At least not in any forseable future plans.....

    Indecision

you are a BTL customer it sounds like. Your electrical is dependant on your amp not your Sub. You also don't need more power to be louder. The BTL is the most effecient of the subs we are talking about, and since it sounds like having more force is your goal I think it will be a better option. It will also give you plenty of room to grow amp wise. Then later when you upgrade your electrical, and then after that too when you upgrade your amp, you won't need a new sub or enclosure. It will cost you less in the end.
