Amusingly I ran into that thread...yesterday. I have a wood project in my bathroom and want to have my sub for the living room planned so I can do them both at the same time. Way faster to do two very related projects than two separate ones : ) What will your living room sub be for equipment?

Amusingly I ran into that thread...yesterday. I have a wood project in my bathroom and want to have my sub for the living room planned so I can do them both at the same time. Way faster to do two very related projects than two separate ones : ) The original easy button was playing down to 5 hz I am thinking this might be the way to go since my amp will only be pushing 1000 watts. I will need a HPF for under ~10hz, but how much do you think I will loose? I'm having trouble deciding between running the pair of mael-x's in dual vented or dual sealed....

you mean the touch pro 2?? I am having erotic dreams about that phone... waking up in cold sweat. It's verry sad, but I remember every cell phone I had, but not the name of ever girl who has had my penis in their mouth.

e55 > pick up Unless you have some real need for a truck or do not have access to one . I think you mentioned you live in a rural area of texas... I'm only guessing... there are a few pick ups out there, and probably one close by.

I am thinking maybe this x2 with my maelstroms in it. With my QSC amp they should see about ~1000 watts each perhaps. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1093893 My only fear is then using a HPF at ~10hz, how much I would loose in the <10hz range. It's that or maybe sealed with some processing. I think I would much rather have more power to them at that point though so I could boost the bottom like a madman.

My bro hadn't had real food in over 24 hours prior from the sound of it, and had to fly back the next day at 10 AM. He's going to school to be an opthamologist and cannot miss a day of work at the clinic/hospital or he fails, so he was in town less than 20 hours.

The knot tieing was amazing. My best friend. Basically brother came in 10 min before the cerimony. Poor guy has never had more than the alchohol in one strong beer spready out over his life time, but he took a shot of whiskey with me. He was amazing. Thank god for groomsmen. Aparently he headed upstars and took the mic from the live band and proceded to sing unchained melody at another wedding in the building.. and the band didn't stop him for 2-3 songs. He was faschnokered. Amazing. I wish I could have seen that. Dinner was good, we managed to have pictures of both sides of the family spreading 4 generations, and that was a big deal for us. Our grandparents are getting on in years.... so we needed pics, and my bride was willing to be pushy and get it done. =) We danced, we drank and ate. The in the honey room sweet we passed out exhausted as we forgot to bring snacks for the room, and I nearly lost an eye with the champaign bottle. It was kind of a pathetic site. I wouldn't have even touched the bottle, but I need alchohol to sleep on just about any bed but my own. I got spoiled working at a matress store. And thank you for the congrats. Even though we had the paper just shy of a year before, this time it felt more real. though we then got to celibrate our "secrete" aniversary yesterday.

You could. Hell in 45 minutes at the children's fishing contest on our dock they pulled in nearly 1000 of them. Not my cup of tea, I actually didn't even have a pan fish rod when I owned fishing rods. OH man. You need a hug. I didn't know you needed a different rod for them. I really just love the taste. A bit boney and not too much meat, but it's so worth it with breadcrumbs and butter. My grandmother cooked them that way when we had the lake house on lake sylvia(which one right?) so I have a special place in my heart for those yummy little fishes.

OH TEH NOES! I don't even have the boxes for my 18" maelstrom-x's built, and now they are comming out with a 21" version. OMGWTF. I'm screwed. I wonder if the wife would notice 2 bigger boxes sitting in the storage room. Now to find out a way to unload my untouched 18's muahahhahahahah

I'm so dang tired, still on vacation hours here. I was so sleepy this morning I forgot to even make a cup with my new machine. At least I might get the gouge out of my truck tonight, or half way. A good budy does wonders with paint. I don't know if I ever put up the pic of the lambo kit car I had worked on with him, but he's amazing.

That's what we use at the lake The payoff isn't as good as it seems though. $0.55 / "cup" will cost more than buying a $1k machine and just beans. As a reference, I get what they would call a double from 16 grams of beans. 28 doubles per pound...56 singles 1lb = $15 (worst case) $15/56 = .26 each 1 cup a day = ~$100 a year If a good machine last 10 years it is a no brainer. For what it is I am impressed though. I got lucky and it was a gift. The 300 initial investment I get to keep. Thats about 545 pods to break even. I may stretch the pods out and "re load" the pods to stretch my buck. Not really because I care about cost but because I like the idea. I also like that it tasted pretty fresh even though it must have been sitting for some time on a shelf. I'm also a last minuite guy in the AM recently. The milk frother blew my mind. Tasty frothed milk without steam sounded impossible. I will now need to come visit you and have you make me a cup. I would have had NO faith seeing this thing on a shelf, and for me, it slaughters starbucks.

    Welcome to the IHoP

for a wedding present a co worker got me a nespresso machine. I wanted to give you all a little review, as what seamed insanely gimicy turned out to do a fantastic job for what I need it to do. I was literally amazed. Sean, I know it's probably blasphemy but I really enjoyed the coffee it produced. It tastes like it's been extracted(the machine said it has 19 bars of pressure, not sure if I beleive it) and it tasted pretty fresh from those little cups. I'm nearly upset that I like the coffee so much being that it's really not the same as extracting traditionally. It came with this little "milk frother". It uses what I beleive to be an induction heating unit and a magnet driven "wisk" to froth the milk. No steam, WTF right? I thought the whole thing was a load of BS, but I'll be dipped in shit if it didn't make half decent froth from whole milk. I would have to have good steamed milk next to it for comparison, but it was close, if not just a bit to thick of a froth. The extractor machine made espresso tasting liquid with something that tasted like sexy crema on top. The coffee tastes pretty fresh IMO. But my experience is limited. Have you ever tried the coffee from one of these units? Frankly it beats the living piss out of starbucks(not saying much I know). The little pods the grounds come in are ~.55 a dose. So I could have a triple for $1.15. Yes damn please. I have seen some people reusing their pods too with fresh ground beans, not sure how realistic that is for me but a novel idea. How I see the results of this gift that I can get something better than starbucks while still in my underwear at 5:30 in the morning, that is easy to wash, easy to clean.... and for right after dinner I can have a cup if I feel like it. I know for a fact I NEVER would have purchased this on my own, and eventually gone with a traditional grinder/steamer/extractor. But having got this as a gift, and really expecting some watery brown water, I was flabberghasted at it's prowess. The milk frother is beyond me. It totally looks 100% snake oil, but it produced something resembling steam frothed milk in 50 seconds, and I didn't have to do anything but pour milk and push 1 button. Again, I now only desire to find some well done espresso and go toe to toe(when are you free Sean???). Perhaps it's the fact they have a verry good grinder at the place where it ships out from, quite uniform. I cup a spent pod and took a look at the grounds, and it looked like decent spend espresso grounds from a cursory glance. I doubt it's up to snuff to a real machine, and someone who can accurately froth milk, but for me, at 5:00am.... good enough and then some. I give this set up a thumbs up for anyone who wakes up with 20 min to get out the door but likes coffee. Even more so if you stop at starbucks every morning.
