The worst part about the socialist mentality is that everyone who is on the bottom thinks that it's some saintly gift to help them, and thus support the movement. People became accepting of a "hand out" and then all of a sudden it's an entitlement, and then it's a right, and sooner rather than later it all ends up being "unfair" that some have things that others don't. The leaders of the group fuel those flames. I don't despise the hunt for money, it's admirable. It's no different than the hunt for the cure for cancer, or the acousticly perfect speaker. It's the hunt for power over other men that makes me sick, and the current social structure is so perfect that it breeds the weak to desire someone to make their decisions for them. It's a crappy way to run a government.

They don't have a care in the world, as it is not their money they are spending, and when it all comes crashing down, they will be dead or out of office anyway. I loath the fact that my own government thinks it knows what's best for me. They need to keep their nose out of my life frankly.

This guy obviously has his priorities fucked up. I think the narator is spot on. If my job is to make a sale, then that's my job and making rationals why I can't isn't going to help me or anyone else. Some people are come up with reasons why they can't. Others come up with options to get what they need to be sucessfull. In the context of the monologue Alec Baldwin(the person doing the speach) is there to motivate a failing sales team, and he is correct as most of them are "wanting". There was a scene in the Rock too where Sean C looked at Jack N and said "Loosers always whine about doing their best, winners go home and f+ck the prom queen." Even Yoda is down with the rules of the world "Do or do not, there is no try" I beleive to my core that if you're doing something with everything you have in you, you will reach serious acheivement, but those who do not give it their all and complain how sucessfull others who have acheived some desired hight, have really robbed themselves. I chalk all that hand out thinking, or social "greater good" garbage into the same toilette and I think it's better to flush it. I understand what he was trying to accomplish, but to compare his identity to a watch or his salary is just lame. If the guy had said some shit like that to me, I'd punch him in the nose, kick him to the ground, and piss on him. Money means nothing. It's nice to have, but hardly a reason for living. You can say money means nothing, but my guess, and there is no way I can know or for you to prove it, but my guess is that you have never been without it. You have always had a roof, food, or the means to gather those things without having to live on public land and sleep in the snow. If you work, then money means something to you. I could challenge you to live and raise your son without any money for the rest of your days. I think you can agree that it would be a dis-service to him. Money does mean something. I am not saying it's good. I'm not saying it's bad. I frankly don't care about the ethics of an inatimate object. Only peoples motives.

making that much and living home with momma meant sooo many toys, and nights filled with times i dont remember.
-
Here's the hang up. If you dont care about money or expencive toys, cool. Just dont be mad if someone else has them, or suprised if someone who's results motivated blows past you

i dropped out of HS and made a consistent 70k. i worked 72 hours a week. I rarely did labor though. Just selling consistantly and effectively. Its still not given to you. good call on the wording. It should say your not given a 60k a year job, but u have to earn it. school is just the easiest way for most.

I'm on a damn rampage of ethical turmoil today. I need to get to the range and get some focus for my intensity. Things are a changing. Wind is changing direction....

nice little 1300% mark up. nice padding if I do say so. Don't u know they are just diong their best to stimulate the economy?? I wonder how many people have paid that price do u think, just because they are the dealership? Alot of people, I bet. I got raped 2 times on some parts. Untill somebody sent me a link to the parts catalogue. Told them the price on ebay, they tried to make me an offer and convince me shipping is going to cost and bla-bla-bla. Same thing with the hydraulic pump. Should be ~$1100 shipped here (should be here next week) and they want $3500 for the same pump. bad buisness decision for then. Sound like a holes.

Rule 1: Life is not fair -- get used to it! Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping -- they called it opportunity. Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room. Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time. Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

i know. bull shit work getting in my way. I also agree a great family is better than a billion dollars. But by chance say you had a billion dollars, could you improve your childs chances. I dont measure sucess by money. some do, but if u work in a feild that is completely measured by money the I say do your damn job. I feel that way if I go see a doctor. I dont give 2 flying pigs left of nantucket if my surgeon makes Jr a happy well adjusted boy. He/she has a job to do and better come with both eyes open. Money doesnt fix problems itself, and the reverse is also true. If something is there and you want it we only have ourselves to blame if we cant get it. There is nothing that says you cant make a high income and be a good father/husband/person. If you admire to be the guy with a watch worth more than your car, then live up to it. act accordingly. if you have other priorities, then dont worry about the guy with said watch. dont be "wanting"

i wish u luck sir! Thank you...........btw that is one hella of a dog!!!!!! Drool iceicles are in your future!!! Also welcome Kent...............stay awhile, have a graham cracker or 2. J thanks! I dont think i could be happier unless they bred a drool free version. its nice to have someone who is happy to see me when i come home. God knows the wife cats and room mates never greet me like Jack does. I've onlt known him for 5 days lol. puts things in perspective. He's still a pup too, this morning how he ran under my legs and hid by me in the rain when i took him out to go potty really show that. A 160 pound beasty comming to a human for comfort because hes hesitant and nervous is kinda endearing

That sounds funn. did u go out on your boat? I bet that thing hauls like none other when it comes to outright speed. I was limping yesterday. I showed a good friend how to lift properly. I did squats for the first time in a long time. My numbers were pathetic. From what he said he sounded like he hurt worse. In my prime I coulda been a contender..... for state, probably not nationals.
