Check the harness by the EGR valve. I have seen these get burnt multiple times and fuck shit up everywhere. Thanks I shall. I need to get that Trans relay switch checked out. I'm just going to replace it. I hope that stops fuses from blowing.

Word. no truer words. i need a vehicle answer though. mine isn't reliable in its current state, and it doesn't excite me all that much. Do I love it? Yes. I have never had a car that cost more than a couple months of pay. Should probably just be happy I have a job and that at least it's not a 4.6 liter. hrmmmm.. I thought the 6.2 was exclusive for a year or so also... Its the same chassis as all the new 2009 F-150's. The 2009 F-150's frame is different than the 2004-2008 F-150's, which is maybe what they meant? The main difference between an F-150 4WD and an F-150 Raptor are: 35" BFG A/T's Front and Rear Lockers Suspension Front Fenders, Hood, Grille Basically a right off the showroom pickup that will traverse pretty much any off road trail out there. Can you build a more capable 4WD vehicle for 40 grand? Can you build a comparable vehicle for much less money? Of course you can. Just have to ask yourself how much time and effort are you willing to spend, and whether or not you have the tools necessary to do it

hrm.. interesing. so the extra 7" on the front and rear are all tire and spacer? I bet i could do better. The problem is I dont have a shop to do it all myself. I would need to pay a shop to add any modifications.... I could just dump cash into my old exp, but to have 4 seats and a bed and a frame that has no rust could be worth a few bucks. knocking of rust and putting on rustolium ended up being much more work than I thought and the rust down there has me thinking about life span of my poor little expy. In truth for a 13 year old truck thats been rode hard by myself and moved me 5 times in 3 years its in AMAZING SHAPE. I will need to decide if its worth completely overhauling the old truck or starting over....

im a bit confused about the raptors real differances from a stock f150 aside fron engine shocks and body. as in could i build one for less using a new f150 and just modding? In some articles is sounds like the chassis/frame is much different. I also understood it to have a different axle etc... but now I cannot confirm. in another article it sounded to downplay it. I really love the curvy exterior. I cannot find the pic but its aparently about 7 inches wider and so has some sexy flares. I may be sold on this truck and be about to make another bad financial decision =)

i paid for my wedding with moneys that were tax deferred. I didnt think to take a loan on my house. I own one of our houses complete with no mtg. I will suffer taxes now.

I keep meaning to go drive one I am very interested, but I have no chance on one. ?? They'll easily let you drive one. Shit I've driven all sorts of things for the fuck of it that you'd expect them to filter. I got myself into a top trim level quatroport just by asking nice for a sporty car. They didn't have too much to drive, but they asked if I wanted to take it for a spin.

I agree. This past spring I was looking at getting an Adrenalin Explorer. I just saw one today, and in person, it's just a gawdy ass truck. I also am not big on the huge front ends of the newer Ford trucks. I'm hoping they start toning it back down a bit. I don't know anybody who says they like it, so hopefully Ford receives this feedback and uses it. The new front end does look insanely wide. Almost wrong. For some reason though it makes me think of the '20s-'40s. Everything extra sturdy looking and bold. Almost in the same vein as the chrystler 300s. It looks much more appropriate on the 250s IMHO, but the style fits me. everything but the cheep looking plastic raptor FORD grill. I bet a brush guard or ligh bar would fix that right up though.

i didn't know how big that pick up was. It's 9 inches higher, but it really didnt look like it from the pictures, but it's also 7 inches wider. That's why it has those gay little lights. It's required for trucks that big wide.... :drools: I have no ideal when i became a truck loving country guy. I've always been a 2 door light go fast fanatic....

I can't really tell you why as I agree the grill screams boy racer styles. I think the black plastic grill is tacky, however can be easily replaced. Aside from that I think the new f150, 250 etc in general is the best looking pick up.
